prednisone while pregnant

I just got put on prednisone for my asthma after trying other things for 4 days. I know I didn't really have a choice as the doctor put it oxygen is the most important thing for my baby and he made sure it was a last resort to go on. Just wondering if anyone else has had to take it before while pregnant? Also this not my first time having to take it just first time since I am pregnant. I'm 15+1

Thanks I'm on a 9 day taper this time. It was the shortest one he thought would help. My stomach muscles are killing me from all the coughing that comes with my asthma attacks. Just praying to be able to breath normal again soon.

I was giving when we were trying.  I asked the ER dr, my fertility specialist & the pharmasist and they all said it would be ok for the 5 days I s to take it.  any longer then that and they would be concerned i guess .  It turned out i wasn't pregnant that cycle but I still had the chance of it from the fertillity medication.

I was borderline needing it but ended up not, however one of my friends had terrible asthma flare ups while she was pregnant and her Dr had her on it. Her and I are both nurses and comfortable with the idea of taking the prednisone while pregnant. It's definitely one of those where the benefits greatly outweigh any potential risks.
