pregnancy acne

I'm 9 weeks now with severe pregnancy acne on my cheeks n chin. My dermatologist put on Finacea 15% gel and Metrogel 1% both of.which are more than $200 each a tube. Were you guys prescribed anything else that's pregnancy safe by your derm?
Please help :(

I didn't take anything for mine. It eventually cleared up on its own but it was everywhere. On my face, chest, and back! I didn't wanna risk being allergic to anything because I tried something almost two years ago that really messed up my face. I had to go through urgent care and get a shot. But hopefully yours will go away once your body gets adjusted to the hormones.

Try acne solutions by clinique.  Its maybe  $80 for the system. Ive used it and my 9 yr old uses it daily.  Its none allergenic and it was developed by dermatologists.

I know women that were prescribed tetracycline which is an oral antibiotic. I would talk to your doctor to get something a little more wallet friendly than you were given.
