Im also suffering dry skin and spots around my chin. Gosh I look lovely lol.  Ive heard that its little baby girls that do this are they say they are stealing our beauty. I try and drink as much water as I can and do face packs one a week when I'm in the bath as the steam helps also to clear your pours out. X

Drink lots of water and wash your face with mild soap warm water,  not hot. Don't pick at your face it will just make it worse. I had it bad at first but I started doing these things and its all cleared up. I use a tiny bit of coconut oil to get my makeup off before I wash my face. Seems to work :) I'm 25w 4d

I had it with both my pregnancies, one boy, one girl. I just use dove soap to wash my face since you are not supposed to use acne meds. My midwife recommended dove since it also is a big of a moisturizer. I also use the carrots moisturizer.

Yes I have the same problem and dry patches I have no idea why I constantly drink water at least 10 times a day and pig out on n plenty of fruits and veggies. This time around is so different from my first pregnancy.

Hi Mary Lee I have the same problem too.  During my first trimester I broke out so bad and it left a lot of scars in my face.  My acne during the first trimester was huge and painful.. it did looks like a cystic acne.  I was using clearasil, benzoyl peroxide cream 5% or 10% (i used 10%) and erythromycin pads all approved by my MD.   I used them twice a day. Benzoyl peroxide makes your skin really dry.  Use moisture but not too heavy because that can cause your pores to clog.  You'll probably see the difference in a month or so.  I'm on my 3rd trimester now.  My face is at least 90% better.   You will continue to have acne until after the baby.   But no worries it will go away eventually.  Spoke with your OB and see what his/her recommendation for your acne. . Good luck and congratulations! !

I have it too. The glow is from extra oil on your skin, but my skin is usually very dry, so I don't seem to have any (visible) oil. I do have acne though, and because my skin is so terrible I get really awful, bleeding blemishes that take forever to heal. No fun. If you're not allergic to soap, try warm water and mild soap. Don't use acne medicine because it can harm the baby. Good luck.
