I take Garden of Life Prenatal vitamins which are raw food vitamins. They come in capsules since they are made from organic raw foods so you you can open the capsule & put it in a smoothie or any other beverage instead of swallowing the pill

I think taking your prenatal vitamins are important. I've been taking then since I found out I was pregnant. I'm 8 months now and I still take them. This is my fist baby and I want everything to be fine with my baby.

For the average person it is very difficult to get all of the vitamins that they actually need especially in the majority of America.  Most people don't subscribe to a carely crafted diet that provides all the essentials so a prenatal does wonders to fill in the gaps. it's like a multivitamin but with a bit extra :)

You need the prenatal vitamins with folic acid it helps with spinal cord development.. and support eye development of course the brain.. some women that lacked those vitamins a very low percentage but you don't want to take a chance, some women had a child with spina bifida..

I had never had a problem taking pills until I got pregnant. So i bought these prenatals that are smaller in size, and it helped tremendously until u got over my phobia of taking pills. Now I take the regualr ones and sometimes still I have a minor problem taking them. You'll get past it.

Yea i became slightly anemic, and found out my gummy vitamins don't have iron but i just eat more things with iron ex spinach. 50% of pregnant women become anemic apparently. Luckily I wasn't severe just needed a little boost of iron:)

Unless we are lacking in something docs would suggest you take something..ive never had problem anyway..im not saying dont take them either..you should always check with your doctor first but if you arent lacking in anything and have a good diet i dont see howit would be a problem

Wow that's crazy how different places are. Yes I see folic acid as important and definitely iron. Have you guys heard of DHA in Ireland? It's supposed to help promote healthy brain development.  Idk I take mine every day

There are gummy versions of prenatals that you can take to avoid swallowing pills.  They are to supplement any deficiencies you could have since every thing you take in is used by you and your baby.

Here in ireland its never reccommended by doctors we take prenatal vitamins, just folic acid for the first 12 weeks and iron after that but only if needed..this is my 4th baby and never took any prenatal vitamin and all very healthy babies and i dont know anyone that has taken them..it seems to be an american thing...as long as you have a healthy diet i dont see a problem...it certainly shouldnt have any bad effect of your baby

I was beginning to slack with my prenatals, but then my Dr told me I was vitamin D deficient, so I took taking my prenatals and vitamin D religiously ever since.  I'm 34 wks and have only missed a few days here n there.  U should take them, it really is healthier for u and baby..

especially in the beginning because there is so much important development happening right now To your baby

Well it's not good.  There's a reason they tell you take them dear. It will help with healthy development plus help you because all your nutrients are going to baby. I know some people have different opinions but in my eyes anything I can do to benefit my baby and help him be more healthy I will do it specifically something so easy as taking a pill.
