question about hospital

This will be the first time the dad will be staying in the hospital with me after the baby is born. Does the hospital typically bring a food tray up for the dad too or does the dad have to go to the food court to eat?

We always have one meal together that the hospital prepares specially (steak,potato,etc.) He's always able to order from my menu, but he has to pay separately. Ive never been limited to what or how many times I can order, so if I don't feel hungry and it's around lunch time, I've been known to order just for him.

Here the first night they bring us both but if another night it just food for mom.  However I think it just depends who is working becasuse with my other kids born before my last one before this it was just food for mom.

At my hospital the nurses would always bring my husband a tray and he was able to grab anything from the snack fridge, he doesn't like hospital food and I love it so I always had seconds =D

I ordered extra that way he could eat whatever was left

I think it depends on the hospital. When we had our 2nd my husband was able to order when I ordered and we just had to pay for it with check or card. With our first, they let him order along with mine.

I always order a lil bit extra do he can eat too,  but they typically tell them that they need to eat in the cafe

At my hospital I ordered food for both of us and they gave me grief but still brought it..I'd say your best bet is the will have to eat at food court
