scared about weight gain

Hey everyone. I'm 12 weeks and have a little belly and I'm starting to get paranoid. Before I was pregnant I was 140lbs and in 5'5 so I considered myself overweight so I started trying to lose weight because I hated the way I looked. Now I'm 145lbs and I hate the though of getting bigger and getting stretch marks. But on the other hand I'm excited to have a baby. I really just don't know how to feel I guess I just want my husband to still think I'm hot when this is over. Does anyone else feel the same?

I thought it'd 'take longer' to get pregnant, & I'd have time to lose the weight I put on during winter - I was wrong & already a bit pudgy when I got pregnant. I was worried too...so I try and do cardio (walking/eliptical -both things i did pre-pregnancy) and not go too crazy "eating whatever I want." My friends have insured me that I will lose pretty much everything I've put on after the baby is born & breast feeding is a plus too! If you're really worried or if there's a problem, your doctor will say something! Heck, that's why they weigh you every time! But, think about how you want a healthy baby & if you're not gaining weight, your baby isn't getting bigger...at least that's what I keeo thinking! Your husband will still think you're beautiful, because you will be!

hey girl, I'm on my second pregnancy and my first is only 14mo and if you eat clean and do light exercising during and after pregnancy your weight will come off. I was worried too..I'm 5'1" and gained 40lbs with my first and was worried the weight wouldn't come off but it did and I was actually in the best shape of my life 9mo postpartum! This time around I'm trying to be more active during pregnancy even though I'm in the midst of morning sickness and just want to sleep..I still try to get in a few miles walking with my 14mo a few times a week. hth!
