subchorionic hematoma

Anybody else been diagnosed with subchorionic hematoma? I am 7 weeks and was just diagnosed. What did this mean for your pregnancy? Does it mean you will miscarry?

I had one with my son, who will be 1 year old on the 20th, and I'm 16w1d now & I also had one during this pregnancy.

it's very common, it'll either bleed out, or your body will absorb it. I basically bled out with both, but I did more bleeding this time around.

it does not mean you'll miscarry, you just need to take it easy.. no sex, no heavy lifting, stay off your feet as much as possible.. it wasn't easy for me having another baby to take care of lol, but I've had a couple ultrasounds now that show NO sign of the hemorrhage!

Definitely does NOT mean you are going to miscarry. After several plane rides and 20 hrs of travel I experienced alot of bleeding and assumed miscarriage at 7 weeks. After arriving by ambulance at a local German hospital it was discovered that there was a heartbeat. Lots of confusion to follow due to the miscommunication, they weren't clear as to if the baby was ok or not. This is my 3rd chold and never had I experienced anything so traumatizing. I was there for work and had no one I knew with me. Only after I arrived back in the states did I get to talk to my doctor and better understand the situation. He explained it best by saying the bleed would not determine if I would miscarry, chromosomes already set in place would determine that and we have no control over it. The bleed is nothing more than a grouping of cells (neither you or the baby need) that will either be expelled from the body by presenting itself through the vagina or it will be absorbed by the body naturally. I was put on pelvic rest not to avoid miscarriage but to avoid further bleeding. I rest as much as possible in between work and have not had any additional bleeding. I had alot of guilt thinking the work trip risked my babies life but that is not really the case just natural to feel as a mom. The trip/exhaustion did however help the bleed to release/expel. I am now 16 weeks and all prenatal tests and ultrasounds have came back perfect and we are expecting our 3rd little girl in March! Rest when you can and don't worry is my advice :-)

I was diagnosed at 7 weeks with a small hematoma after I started bleeding bright red. The bleeding went away a couple weeks later and am now 32 weeks with a healthy baby girl. A lot of times the hematoma heals itself and goes away on its own. It does NOT mean you will miscarry.
