swollen feet and ankles :/

My feet and ankles look REALLY freakishly swollen right now. Its not pretty. I know to bring down the swelling you keep them elevated but does anyone know of a faster technique!? They hurt more when swollen and Im in school so I walk around a lot. I know swelling occurs and is normal but when I look at my feet I cant believe theyre mine, lol.

High blood pressure..thats scary. Most of the swelling are on my ankles and just a little bit on my fingers too. Ill ask my doctor though. Thanks!

You might want to check with your doc. Swelling can be a caused by high blood pressure, which can be a sign of preeclampsia.

Are your hands and fingers swollen too? My experience with severe swelling was due to high blood pressure. If it persists I would talk to your doctor

I've been swollen for 5 days now
Went to the doc and they told me to drink more water and stay off of my feet. I'm swollen from my knees to my feet. I wouldn't worry unless you Start having contractions. Continue to lay on your left side as well.

This is a long shot but are you wearing leggings & longer socks under boots? I only ask because that had been my daily winter outfit & I noticed my ankles were grossly swollen & I went & got the next size up leggings so they were slightly loose (not as cute but whatever) and whenever I was home I'd wear no socks & loose sweat pants & my ankles have been back to normal ever since I switched. Sorry if that's not the case for you, I'd just say no socks at home & elevate your feet in that case but in the slim chance you've been doing the leggings/boots thing too figured it was worth sharing...
