swollen labia !!!

As I surf the Web many sites tell me it is common during pregnancy for this to happen. What it doesn't tell me is how to (deal, cope, minimize, OR HELP)
For the past few days now my labias are both swollen and itchy at times. I am very clean and wipe front to back. I wear cotton underware with a liner now because of some discharge. I was just hoping  someone out there has a few tips or tricks on how to survive !! I am 26 weeks now and I pray rhis doesn't last the rest of my pregnancy! !!!

I'm not sure I've seen cucumber wipes.  Where do you get those?  Good idea about putting them in the frig.  I never thought of that!

my doc says it itches cause it's swollen and to use Crisco (make sure it's vegetable oil) cuz it keeps it lubricated and Crisco is a lot less messy than K.Y. And to my satisfaction it totally works and most households already have it :)

Get coconut oil and rub it on. Also use an ice compress.  These will both help with discomfort And itching.

My doctor told me that its just from all the pressure the baby is causing on your pelvic region. I don't have any itch but I have the swollen part. I'd talk to the doctor though just in case..

I've had the same thing going on minus the itching. My doctor tested me for infection bit there was none. He said that the swelling is normal do to the pressure. I still have swelling at 37 weeks. It just got worse now that she's head first.

Try not wearing underwear or pants to bed and see if it helps. I found something online that says that helps to dry it out and stop the itching. It helped with me!

Thank you all for your comments.  I  will be speaking to my doctor very soon. I had my first ever yeast infection last year this time. It is possible it very well could be a yeast infection, but it is very different from last year so I assumed it yo be different.

I'd say sounds like thrush. My bits have been swollen on odd days but never itchy. Liners won't help much as they make you sweat down there. I'd speak to your dr. There may be something you can get to stop the itching, if it isnt an infection of some sort. Could also be possible allergy. Let us know if you find a remedy ☺

I would say an infection too, it doesn't matter how clean you are you can still get yeast infections or bacterial infections.. They are both VERY easy to get while pregnant especially!

It could also be  infection, i had the same problem, mine was diagnosed a yeast infection, had to get monistat 7 from Walgreen $12, and it took about 4days beforei felt any relief

I'm having the same problems. I haven't really found a solution. I have stopped sleeping with any underwear on and that seems to help with the itching. I'm always swollen though.
