I had mine at 28 weeks (I'm 34 weeks now). Only had a sore arm for a bit after but to be honest I would go through any kind of side effects if it meant my baby was protected. Whooping cough is on the rise and can be fetal to babies and if you don't have it done when pregnant the baby can't be protected from it till their 8 week jab. Not worth risking not getting it in my opinion.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm very pro vaccine so it has nothing to do with that. mainly wanting to see if anyone had a weird reaction or a convincing con to getting the vaccine.

Why are you debating it? I wasn't sure about it because I didn't know exactly what it is.  I see it being no different than the tetanus shot

Sure did. Gotta protect my baby. My husband got his 3 years ago when our daughter was born so he doesn't need it again right now.

I got mine. I saw no cons to getting it! My insurance paid for it & I only had a sore arm for a few days. Worth it to protect my baby!!

I got mine, for the same reason as other posters said, baby can't be vaccinated for it. Also I asked doc how common disease is and she said it has risen in years so much that they recommend it to every pregnant women, where as it was just a quick suggestion before. I was pregnant about 2yrs ago and it was just a casual mention, but they didn't make it seem very important. I had no significant reactions to shot, small pain at injection site lasted rest of day and drowsiness not sure if that was shot or because I was so drained at 28wks.

I got mine - my job as a mother is to do everything within my power to protect my child from harm. Getting a booster to help protect my baby from a potentially fatal disease definitely falls in that category.
