testing not immune for rubella

So im on my way in to a class and I listen to a voicemail from a nurse about my blood work. Im 16 weeks...

She said that my test came back good except my test said im not immune to rubella. I didnt even know what that means. I had to get to class so I couldnt call back. I googled it and now im almost in tears! I should have never googled it. Does anyone here know anything about this?

After baby is born you can get an injection for it. Rubella is very well vaccinayed againsts so you shouldnt come in contact with it.
im not immune to chicken pox ....... which is a bit more common and Im pregnant so I have to wait to get it... but worse I found out 4 years ago and still havent vaccinated myself

It's ok!  You should just get the measles mumps and rubella vaccine after you deliver.

It just means you haven't had it or been vaccinated against it before.

I wasn't immune with my first pregnancy.  The only precaution you have to take it stay away from sick children.  And wash wash wash hands. When baby is born they will give you a vaccine and you will be good to go. No worries.
