trisomy 21 (spelling?)

I miscarried two weeks ago, just found out that my baby had trisomy 21, down syndrome. They said that's probably why I miscarried at 8 weeks. (6 weeks 5 days) Neither me or my husband have the genetic chromosome problems (had blood work done on us both) so I wonder why this happened?

I had a miscarriage almost a year ago at about8 weeks. The baby wasn't developing properly. The doctor said something about the body being able to terminate pregnancy on its own when things aren't going rite. I am currently 19weeks with a very healthy baby soo I don't think there is much for you to worry about if you were to get pregnant again.

I know someone personally whose baby had trisonomy 13. The doctors said the probability of that happening in another pregnancy is slime. They have had two very healthy babies since. I hope that puts your mind at ease a little

It can be a fluke when it happens...it's not always genetic.
