type 2 diabetes

I am 8 weeks pregnant and just found out that I am diabetic . Next week I meet with an endocrinologist. Do any of you ladies have any advice or what I should prepare my self for? I know I will be taking insulin to keep my blood singer low.

They usually stop metformin because they say it's been proven to cross the placenta. They had me on glyburide (spell check). They never said it was harmful they just didn't want to risk it causing me problems. And diet management and NST monitoring will become like religion lol.
