For me after walking I can tell it helped my baby ease into my pelvis. She is way down now after my walk tonight. I'm 38+5.
Walking helps wen ur already in labor...keeps baby active..i did dat wit my daughter..my labor was 6hrs 33 mins n she was out...I was even induced
I didn't really walk other than grocery store trips. I did do a lot of Kegals and used the medicine ball a lot. I was in labor about 9hours and only pushed 15minutes!
It's possible but no guarantee. No matter what it will help your body cope with the stress of labor and should make labor easier, as long as there are no unforeseen complications. I walked for my entire pregnancy and the few days before I went into labor I was walking all day. I also worked all the way up to Friday and went into labor on Saturday. When I got to the hospital I was 4cm and had my son 6 hours later and only pushed for 10 minutes. Other complications can make labor longer and harder regardless.
I don't believe it personally. I didn't do a whole lot of walking and from the time active labour started til the time my kid was born was like 6 hours. I popped her out in about 12 minutes with no tearing or anything.

I worked at a daycare up until a week before my baby was born so I was very active with the babies and we went on walks a lot. My little boy came three days early and my total labor and delivery time was 8 hours. People have told me thats pretty impressive for a ftm. I definitely think be active help my body stretch and get the baby in position for labor. Also I went window shopping with family the night before I went into labor so that was a lot of walking too.
Hi,
I've never heard that walking makes ur labor fast or easy.....What I have heard is that walking helps bring the baby down into the birth canal.
