worried about post natal depression

Hi guys I have a 4 year old son and had pnd when he was born and have suffered with depression since aswell and I'm worried I'm going to get it with this one. I'm only 7 weeks and this baby's dad isn't my son's dad but he's a million times better. I had such a bad time with my ex throughout the pregnancy and birth that I'm worried. I woke up in such a down mood this morning and I really don't want to go back on any meds. Should I just ride it out and see how I go for the next few days or should I swallow my pride and go back on meds? I no hormones are all over the place when your pregnant so I'm hoping I'm just having a moody day.

I had really bad post partum depression after my first..I also had a rough pregnancy as well. The day I found out I was pregnant was the day my father found out he had cancer. He didn't even live for 3 months. The father of my daughter became very abusive and I had to leave him which made things worse. At 8 months pregnant my family and I went to celebrate my fathers birthday before I could go my daughters father snuck in my house and was abusing me cops were called and a week later I delivered my daughter early. I had post partum for a few months and it was bad. I met up with a high school friend and started a relationship awhile after and got pregnant with another Lil girl (she was planned) I feared of post partum depression again. This guy was amazing to my daughter also. I didn't get it though. I'm now on my 4th kid by this amazing man and haven't experienced PPD like my first but I catch myself once in a while thinking about it.

If you feel like you need help, don't hesitate to ask your doc. I had severe PPD after both of my girls, and after the second I did not leave my house for 6 months. Literally. For this pregnancy I am on antidepressants and I will keep them going; I don't want to experience the same things I did before. The hormones of pregnancy really mess with me, but I was also dealing with a horrible first marriage and divorce after my first... Just remember, this guy you're with now is NOT the one from before, so you should NOT expect the same outcome. Give him and you a chance to have a different experience. :)
