5 days of Spotting.

OK, i am new to this and mistakenly posted my question/concern in the wrong community. lol anywho , For five days i had expiernced some spotting. I know, spotting... no big deal right? wrong ..lol  the first two days were the light pink discharge, the third day was a bright red discharge. this particular day the discharge appeared to be a little bit stringy and when i touched it it was sticky. the last two days were brown discharge. the day after i had stopped spotting the left side of my uterus started to throb. not for long ,maybe a minute or two and it came and went as it pleased. later on that evening it happened on my right side. For about a week I have had some discomfort in my lower back but nothing too bad. Last night I did have sex but during my belly felt heavy and afterwards i did have pink spotting. Now I did take a pregnancy test but that was before all this mass confusion going on in my head...so about two weeks ago and that was a BFN. Menstrual wise they are irregular however they are always heavy and last 7-8 days. I don't know if this is something normal or if i could be having early pregnancy symptoms and should retest or whats going on. Has anyone else gone through this?

I may have to go ahead and get blood work done. i was just trying to not have to do that. I just took a test.. from first look i cant see a line , but when i hold it up to the light i see a very very very faint line. you can't see anything unless you hold it up to the light but even then because its so faint.. im so unsure lol. im getting more excited to say the least.

BFN stands for Big Fat Negative. Im thinking Im going to take another test tomorrow.  If I get another negative I'll go have the blood work done.

What is BFN?
I did not have spotting but had the same pains as you. Retake a test or even better, have blood work done to check.
