Can you get pregnant days before your period is due?

I had unprotected sex on the 1st and the 2nd, I was due to come on my period two days later on the 4th. However my period has not come. My period would of normally ended by now and I am never late... Can you get pregnant 2-3 days before your period is due? or could it be something else?

Yes, you can get pregnant a few days before your period is due. Not all women ovulate in the middle of their cycles. It's too soon to take a test. You might want to wait at least a couple more weeks to take one.

Remar is right, if you are not specially tracking your ovulation days, you have no way to know for sure when you ovulated and if that coincided with the days you had intercourse. It takes 10-14 days post ovulation to get a positive urine pregnancy test. You can follow-up with your doctor in the meantime, or wait about 2 weeks from intercourse to test if your cycle has not started by then. If you have stopped birth control within the last 6 months or so, your cycles can also be very irregular or if you have had recent medication or lifestyle changes causing stress (new job, moving etc...)  If you do not have your cycle by 2 weeks, with a negative test and have not followed up with your GYN, you need to do so at that time.

If you were pregnant you would only be about a week along. A blood test may be able to tell if you're pregnant this early. You may want to wait another week or so to get good results though.

At this point, a blood test could show pregnancy. Also a doctor will evaluate you for other causes of a missed period such as hormonal imbalances. You can still talk to your doctor and ask if they want you to come in for testing now or wait a week....and they will advise you on what to do on the meantime.  
If you are not pregnant at this time and don't want to have children at the moment, you should talk to your doctor about types of birth control. Unprotected sex over time will likely lead to pregnancy whether you are ready for it or not.

I have been on my period but it only lasted for 4 days! i have been having pains in my lower stomach and the side near my hip!! I keep having dizzy spells and feeling sick i also havnt been eating as much as i used to but i have been sleeping alot, i done a test 2 weeks ago before i came on my period and it came back negitive does anyone know what this could be pregnant

hi there, i having a simmilar issue. now missed my period by a week, pains in lower stomach and my left side. your best thing to do if your worried is take another test because you can still have periods through pregnancy.

I  have now started bleeding but its very light which is unusual as i am normally very heavy and its of a light color a red/pink color. is this my period?

I think you started your period. You should not be bleeding and cramping.
