Do you think I could be pregnant?

3 months ago I decided to go off birth control.  My husband and I decided we wanted to start trying to have kids early this month.  My last period was Dec 21 and I am 4 days late for my period now. I've had some cramping, nausea (no throwing up) and headaches.  I took a test the day I was late and it was negative. I took one today and still negative.  Am I taking the tests too early or am I just not pregnant? I'm trying to not let it be a mental thing where I think I'm having symptoms that I'm not, but I'm late on my period as well.  Is there anyone who has gone through something similar?

That happened to me as well. I waited a few days and tested again. And sure enough 2dark red lines showed up!:) Test again but when you first wake up because your morning urine is most concentrated with the pregnancy hormone. Good luck and happy baby dust your way:)

I think I'm still going to ask for a blood test on Monday.  It will just make me feel better either way.  I'm really hoping that I am pregnant and everything goes wonderful

I stopped taking my birth control January 1st of 2014. I had extremely irregular periods for such a long time because of it. I got so tired of getting my hopes up and being let down. Some months I would get my period twice others not at all. So I would take a test and fail still not get my period forever finally took a blood test, still negative. It took us 10 months to get pregnant because I was so off. Best of luck to you! Hopefully that is not the case for you, was extremely frustrating!

Might be too early. First for urine, use first morning void, it's the most potent. Second, hcg shows up in blood before urine...when u go to ur doctors appt. Request a blood test. Good luck.

I was taking the pill and stopped taking it in early October. I do have a doctor appointment on Monday for just a regular physical. That would also be the first day of 5 weeks. Hopefully I will find out for sure then. Thanks so much!

I tested 5 weeks into the pregnancy and it came back positive. You might go to a doctor just you make sure though cause I've heard of women who's tests came back negative but they were actually pregnant... :)

Thanks! Did you test the first day at 5 weeks or further into it?

I got a negative reading until I was 5 weeks, sometimes the hcg hormone isn't strong enough to be detected on a home pregnancy test. Plus the hcg hormone doesn't start producing until after implantation which is at 4 weeks. Some people will get a negative reading for up to 6weeks xxx Try again in a week.
