False neg on a blood test..?

Can you get a false negative even when with a blood test? Any personal experiences?

I'm surprised your doctor even did a blood test that early on.  They normally make you wait until you've actually missed your period.  I would wait a week or two and test again.

It's not common this really happens, no matter how many women claim they do. Often the reason this is done is they tested at the wrong time (too early) used a bad test or some have tested once and that's it. Blood tests are almost never wrong.

They told me to do a urine hpt in a week-2 weeks :S ive just read so many personal stories where pregnancy wasnt detected until a few months pegnant even when blood and urine tests said negative..im worried.

Yeah. It was a little early. You're supposed to wait around 14 days or longer after you had sex before testing. Are they having you come back in?

I was told it could have been too early...9 days after the unprotected intercourse...
