GP update

So I went to see my GP today, she said since my period came early I'm fine. She also did 2 pregnancy tests. They both said negative. In addition she gave me birth control pills and said it was more anxiety.

I just wanted to know if anyone had taken the EC twice in a week or cycle and what affect did it have on the nxt period?

Should I expect my period as normal or do I need to keep testing?

Hey, I'm starting to feel, like I'm gonna have a period again. What's going on?

I'm thinking this could be an effect of taking 2 ECs in 1 week? Not sure...

Implantation bleeding can occur when the fertilized egg embeds into the uterine lining. It's uncommon, occurring in only 30% of pregnancies. Many women claim they have it, and most will not. Implantation bleeding is light. Usually only a spot or two of blood (and some will not notice it because it's so light) that should quickly be gone - this is because the fertilized egg is smaller than the the tip of a ballpoint pen. It is too small to cause any form of blood flow. It will usually happen around or right before a female's menstrual cycle is due to start. Once a positive test has been taken, implantation bleeding can not occur - otherwise you wouldn't have had a positive test.

A period and implantation bleeding are the two most commonly used reasons for bleeding while pregnant, because they're easily understood even if they're incorrect. Bleeding is not unheard of, but it is not normal and sight of blood is usually (USUALLY) not a good thing - a period or implantation bleeding lessens that fear because they are 'harmless'. (A true period however results in miscarriage of the child, which is why a period is not possible while pregnant) You can bleed for any number of reasons including decidual bleeding, SCH, infection, placental abruption, placenta previa, miscarriage, etc etc.

It's not implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is NOT heavy and is NOT any form of flow. The word is constantly used improperly because it's an easy explanation. You're not pregnant.

As in if I do not have sex up until my nxt expectd period, is there a possibility that I could be pregnant even though I've had this months period?

I just want to ensure that its not confused with implantation bleeding, as I've been reading about this on a few posts and its confusing.
