Had a medical abortion, Could i be pregnant again

I had a medical abortion on 06/25/11, I know the procedure worked, I took a pregnancy test on 08/02/11  it came up positive. I did have unprotected sex a couple of times a week after my abortion. I still didnt get my period and i am pretty regular. I get my period every 28days. So because i still haven't got my period i schedule an appt at the clinic were i got my abortion done so they can check me, since i never did go back for my follow-up appt. Is there a chance i could be pregnant or is it left over hormones from the abortion? if i am pregnant again i plan on keeping it. I let my boyfriend pressure me in to the abortion which i regret.

As the others said, it's definitely possible. However, I would rethink this relationship you're in. Any boyfriend that pressures you into an abortion clearly doesn't give a damn about you.

So nice to hear somebody that is in my position. Four weeks ago I had an abortion.  Me and my bf started having sex again using a condom. But Saturday he used the pull out method. But I'm trying to find out how chances I cab be pregnant from the pull out method. About your question. You are not going to have a period within 4-8 weeks..that's what the nurses told me. And you can still have high hormones. I was told once you have your first birth, abortion or miscarriage..your body is registered for getting pregnant much easier. That is why me and you having an abortion it is much easier for us to get pregnant again. This is just some research I have done today. Yes....sounds like you are pregnant. after a month and a half your hormones SHOULD be lowered, but it depends on how far along you were when you aborted.

So yeah it COULD be leftover hormones but it sounds more likely that you're pregnant.

Since you made the decision to risk pregnancy again, do NOT let your boyfriend pressure you into another abortion - leave his sorry @$$ if you have to.
