HcG levels

Hi so my period was due to come yesterday they have been really regular lately but it has not come yet. I tested with my first morning urine this morning but the result came up negative. What should the HcG levels be now if im around 4 w 3d? Is it possible I am pregnant and the levels arent high enough yet?

Is it too early to get a blood pregnancy test two weeks after sex? I also had bleeding in those two weeks!

Yeah, chances are u are not pregnant unless u ovulated late which made implantation late which would also make your body produce hcg later for obvious reasons

im kinda in the same boat im 9 days lat and have taken 10 test and a blood test in the er but all have came back negative but accordding to the due date calculator is putting me at about 5 weeks my last pregnancy the blood test caught it at 6 week shouldnt they have picked it up this time

Well when you are pregnant, your numbers start off at zero and about a well after conception the hcg begins to gradually climb some things can register as hcg that's why when they do a blood test, anything less than 5 is considered negative, however a lot of doctors will recheck an hcg if it's really low like that and see if it's doubling (in which case if it's doubling you are pregnant) and with the case of ppl getting a negative result until later in pregnancy it's a urine test and for women who drink tons of water that can dilute your urine therefore giving a false negative. I have never heard of a women getting an hcg quanitive blood test and getting a negative when they really were pregnant.. Except in the case where they got a result of like 2 which in the doctors world is considered negative and then not following up and seeing if it doubles. Hope that answers some questions for you.

So what about in the above situation when the woman had an HCG level of one and the doc said there was still a chance of pregnancy? And what about people that say they still test negative at five months?

correct, in a healthy pregnancy your hcg levels will double every 48-72 hours and continue to for the first few weeks. if they have not doubled chances are you are not pregnant.

So if my HCG levels were <2 one week and a week later they were the same, then I shouldnt be pregnant?

well if it makes you feel any better and i do not mean to give any false hope, but with my son i found out i was pregnant wbile trying to get on birth control lol.. i had a blood test before getting my mirena put in and the blood test came back <7 so we waited and 3 days later they were in the 40's and now i have a very busy 14 month old. with both my daughters it always took a long time to detect. i would suggest using the first response early response pregnancy test . that test said i was prego before the doctors urine tests. the day my hcg was only a 7 i went and got a first response and used it just out of curiousity and it came up a faint positive so they must work!!! anyways best of luck!!

About the hcg levels... When you say low, how low is low? I had an Hcg level of less than two four weeks after sex! But I keep reading things about people with low Hcg that don't test positive for a really long time. That was also a blood test that detected the less than 2 HCG levels. Could I still be pregnant?

I'm dealing with the same thing. My period is 5 days late. Due date calc says I'm 5 weeks. Beta hcg on Saturday was a 1 and doc said its very likely because I have a ton of symptoms. I have another one scheduled tomorrow. Good luck and baby dust!

Thank you for your advice I really hope I am pregnant! I was feeling really sick all day today. Vomited once. but felt off. so hopefully thats a good sign!

hi, yes it is possible to be pregnant as the amount of hcg varies from woman to woman, mine were on the lower side and took longer to show and i still had a very healthy boy, you also may of ovulated a little later,i would test in another 2 days or go to the doctors for a blood test :) good luck :)
