Is it possible to be pregnant and still experience breakthrough bleeding?

For 3 years I have been taking birth control pills. Last week, which happened to be the first week in the pack, I missed two pills and I did not make them up. I had unprotected sex everyday of that week with my significant other. About 3 days ago (I'm in week 2), I decided to stop taking the pills altogether for medical reasons and I have been experiencing what they call breakthrough or withdrawal bleeding. Well, I'm assuming that's what it is being that my period isn't due for another two weeks. Is it possible for me to pregnant although I am currently experiencing breakthrough/withdrawal bleeding?
