Protected sex an hour before my period! What are the chances?

Hi, I'm 18 years old.
I had protected sex with my boyfriend yesterday evening. He used a condom. Till date, he makes sure never to finish inside me. But we always use protection.
So anyways, when we were both done he said he noticed I was bleeding a little during the act. I knew my periods were due at this time.. They usually happen at the end of each month. When I got home last night, the bleeding had gotten worse and the period cramps crept in so those were definitely my periods. The periods continued through the night and even today morning. From my sex ed, I know that periods are an indication that you're safe. And since we did use protection, I'm not all that worried either. But are there any chances of me getting pregnant? Should I still go for the morning after pill? Or just wait till next month for the next cycle? What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance :)

I think you're fine, especially if he used a condom and didn't finish inside of you

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.
I'm not entirely sure what a split condom looks like. But if this helps at all, when he pulled out of me, the condom was still on but had rolled/moved about half way up his penis. Should I worry?
