Still negative

im 8 days late on cycle day 42. Went to the doctors was told to wait two more week to see if my period will show up. She gave me a urine exam and it came up negative. But she says she won't clear me until my period actually shows up. She also says my cervix is soft. what are your thoughts?

Just an update, I got my back my blood test results: and I am not pregnant. Still no af I'm now 17 days late; guess I just missed the month of feb. My ultrasound may tell me why I have been having pelvic pains because that was different.  Anyway, thanks everyone for the support and advice during these frustrating  weeks. :) God bless.

They dont do blood tests here, they dont even give you a pregnancy test, i just found out i was pregnant had lots of pain and the doc didnt even do a test to see if i was actually pregnant,id give it a fee more days, if it still comes up neg then go to your gp again, keep hounding them x

Did u you just take urine test? Or did your blood test come up negative too?

You can have a soft cervix if you are just about to have your period, but then its also a sign of pregnancy, for what its worth i had several negative tests and i was over 3 weeks late, finally showed up pos on the 4th week of no period im now 20 weeks, so theres still a chance you could be
