could my blood test be wrong I still feel pregnant

My lmp was november 4th it started extremely heavy and lasted just that day and then spotted for 2 days with the 3rd day only being a half day. I already thought I was pregnant so I had takin a hpt on wednesday the day before thanksgiving it said negative. On thanksgiving I was fine exept for that I vomitted for no reason and felt fine afterwards the same thing happened in the morning on saturday sunday and monday. I decided to go in for a blood test it came up neg the nurse said my levels were less then a 1. But I still have the same symptoms. Very emotional lately vomitting and way more tired than I usually am. If I calculated everything right when I took the blood test I would of been 9 days past ovulation. Could I be pregnant? If not what could cause the symptoms that I am having. Please help

Do you by chance remember the exact dates you might have had sex? Based on a 30-31 day cycle, you would have ovulated on anywhere from the 19th-23rd and sperm lasts for around 5 days in the female body. 7 under perfect conditions.

It was not like a normal red period and it was heavy it stopped by the end of the night and was just brownish and was just enough to wear a panyliner. No the last time I had sex was about almost a week before this happened but almost everyday before I had my period and after

It does sound very heavy to be implantation bleeding. If it were, it should be light--no more than a few spots. And then of course if it was implantation your would also have higher hCG levels. Was it bright red, brown, etc? Did you recently have sex or anything else?

Yea I went to the doc the day it started becuz I noticed a bleach smell first thing I though was infection becuz I don't bleach my underwear he did a pelvic and said there was no sign of infection and he though it was implanation bleeding which was odd becuz it was heavy. He told me it should stop within a couple days and he was right. But that's when I def starting feeling nausea and actually vomitting but it would only be once and then I would be fine. And I don't think it would do with age cuz I'm only 27. Whatever it is if it doesn't change by next week I'm gonna do another test if negative well appt with the gyno

Your second one wasn't a period. There are many reasons to have mid cycle bleeding. Age, cysts, irritation, infection, ovulation, etc. A true menstrual cycle happens when a female ovulates, the egg remains unfertilized and dissolves and then you shed the lining that the egg would have embedded into. Have the blood test done in a week or so, and if that is still negative you definitely should talk to your doctor. It's possible it could just be too early and you might get pregnant later, but as of now you're not and your symptoms are not due to pregnancy.

As of right now, you're 110% not pregnant and your symptoms are not due to pregnancy. If they were, your hCG would be higher and would have shown on the blood test.

For all women, pregnancy is dated from last menstrual period unless they're undergoing fertility treatments such as IVF. This is why when a female says "I'm 2 weeks pregnant!!" it's impossible, because for the strong majority of women they are only just then ovulating or not even ovulated yet. The egg is only viable for 12-24 hours, so conception happens very soon after ovulation. It then takes at least 6-12 days for the egg to travel down and implant into the uterus and usually a day or so for the hCG to rise enough to be detected by pregnancy. A female can find out she is pregnant as early as 3 weeks pregnant, though most find out at 4-5 weeks. LMP is the first day of your last period. This is the only day doctors know 100%, as when a female ovulates is random. It can be assumed that a female with a 28 day cycle will ovulate on day 14, but many might ovulate on CD 15, or maybe CD 8. Then there are women that do not have a 28 day cycle. For example, I have a 30-31 day cycle, and standard charts don't apply to me. I usually ovulate on CD 17.

at many women don't realize is there is more than one different blood test to detect pregnancy--there are actually two. One is called a qualitative blood test, and is similar to a urine test. It just looks for the hormone and gives you a yes/no answer. This has the chance of being wrong, but very rarely is. The other is called a quantitative blood test and this reads the exact level of hCG in the blood. This test can not be wrong unless it's done too early, because all pregnancies have hCG that is produced from the moment of implantation---even if the pregnancy is not viable.

Some women have troubles with standard urine tests, but this is usually due to the female in question. For example, many women will get a cheap pregnancy test and use it at night and often will get a negative answer. This is due to diluted urine and a low sensitivity test. For best results you always want to use a good test brand (any pink dyes work well, such as First Response, Answer, etc) and test with first morning urine. Others will test a week after they had sex and if it's negative they will ignore it for weeks on end. In rare cases some women don't metabolize the hCG in their urine and can't show a positive without blood testing.

Basically the whole thing lol. The chart goes off of the first day of ur lmp or the last day? And then doesn't it take 2 to 3 days for the egg to attach to the uterus wall. Then it starts producing the hcg right? So it could technically be 12 to 14 days after conception for someone to have enough hcg in their blood or urine to be detected. I think I'm just paranoid but I just have this gut feeling that I am. But I don't know I look at the chart and I see that like with my first son I didnt get a positive result until 9 weeks my hcg on that chart is high but mine never showed til 9 weeks. Or like my other 2 at 6 weeks would of been high to but I got negatives I'm just confused on the whole thing. Is there something wrong with my body for a test not to detect it.

Ooooh, I understand. Is there anything about it that confuses you, I might be able to explain it a little better.

That's what I thought but people were telling me differently. I googled it and all it said is that hcg is released when the egg attaches to the wall of ur uterus. I have had problems in the past with positive results my first pregnancy got a positive finally after me being 9 weeks and my other 2 were 6 weeks along just paranoid I guess.

All women have hCG in their bodies. I believe even men have trace amounts of it. It will usually be at a level of 2 and under. Perimenopausal women can have it in amounts up to 9-10.

It's definitely not too early for a blood test if your symptoms are due to pregnancy, as symptoms can not start until the hCG hormone is released. There's nothing there to cause them otherwise. If you still have doubts have another test done in a week or so, but based on what you've said you are currently not pregnant.

The thing is I don't want to be pregnant right now so I don't think it is my mind. Also I just thought it might of been to early for the blood test because from what everybody has told me u don't carry hcg in ur body unless u r pregnant and if I have just a little bit I thought maybe it was to soon but thanks

No--for you to be your hCG would have to be at least above 5. Desire to be pregnant is one that can cause these, as well as other medical problems. Make an appointment with your doctor to get looked over, or you can ask for a referral to a GI specialist.
