hCG test strip result

My friend did her test and quite not sure if it's positive or not i have attached the instructions which was printed on the cover of hCG strip and the strip after the test. Is it negative?  The images are in the links below and the test contains one thin blue line and one thick red line.

i asked her she said its jus 3days after periods and she was on birth control pill given buy the doc because of irregular periods and after the pill she has got periods every 28days but now it has been 30days without periods

Ah, sorry my bad. DPO is days past ovulation. How many days after her period ended did she have sex? And do you perchance know her cycle length? IE is it a typical 28 day cycle or something different.

oh i misunderstood DPO i thought its periods. well she has had sex about a month ago just after her last period and she missed her periods fr 2 days now

If she's only 2 DPO then the test isn't accurate. It was taken far too soon. She needs to wait at least 2 weeks since ovulation/when she had sex and retest with first morning urine. Implantation doesn't happen overnight and the hCG needs time to build up in the body. Has she missed a period yet? When did she last have sex, and if she hasn't missed a period when is the next due.

Looks negative to me, but this also looks like one of the cheap internet tests as well. I would strongly encourage them to get another test, such as first response or clearblue and retest with first morning urine. How many DPO is your friend?
