period was 5 days late, and isnt ending?

okay so my last months of cycles have been 26, 26, 26, 26, 30, and 29 days... so when my period was not back on the 26th day i got a little concerned till i looked back and seen that i have went 30 days before... but this time it came day 31. i had brown light flow all day (which is usually at the end?) then then next day started bleeding light(color) red flow which was med/light in flow (which was weird) now im on day 8 with the same med/light flow! i usually have 4, 5 days tops for my period and it usually is that lighter brown flow at the end and im still bleeding red on day 8?

so cause its day 8 im concerned but not enough yet to go to the Dr lol (yet)... but i was wondering if this happend to anyone else... that they were late then had a really off period? i wouldnt use tampons even cause it doesnt seem right.. and i didnt feel crampy at all this round, which is weird too...


my thoughts were: so IF it was longer then normal then it had 5 more days to build up... so then i would get a longer period?
or maybe i was preggo but it didnt work out so it thru my cycle off this round? has this happend to anyone?

so im gonna wait it out and hope for an end soon... if not ill try to get in at the Dr next week but in the meantime any thoughts would be helpful

Anon, it's rare to get a response on these super old threads. It's usually easier to get responses by starting a new one. I can think of several different reasons. You could be pregnant, you could have fibroid or cysts, or your body's cycle is changing which happens from time to time especially with lots of stress.  Your best course of action would be to start ruling out things. Start with a pregnancy test and then if negative,  make an appointment.

My period started over a week before it should have and has been light bleed [no blood clots] ever since. Now 8 days later, what could be going on? Im normally regular with fairly heavy periods that last for 5 days exactly?
