pregnant or not?

Hello,

it might be a bit long and I apologize in advance for the details, but I'm trying to make a sense out of what's happening.

I started spotting pink last week, spotting that lasted about 3 days and I assumed, along with a high cervix and some creamy discharge, that I finally got pregnant.

My period was due some time between Friday and Sunday.
On the night between Saturday and Sunday I started bleeding excessively, and on Sunday I was in an excruciating pain that didn't allow me to either sit or stand (or lay down comfortably, for that matter), along with an excessive bleeding (8 tampons in less than 12 hours).
This bleeding soothed on Monday evening, and on Tuesday it was almost gone.
My right side and front side of what I assume is my utherus was and still is sore, specially if I bend forward or make sudden moves, or if touched. I also lost my appetite, every kind of food is repelling me and just the thought of eating is making me gag.
Sunday and Monday I had some light fever.
My body is literally exhausted!

I'm writing all this because the bleeding and the pain were abnormal. I usually don't suffer during my menstruation, which lasts for about 4-5 days and is usually unnoticed (pain\bleeding\mood wise).

Following my GP's suggestion, I went to a gynecological visit, where an internal ultrasound was made, and the doc's opinion is that I might have miscarried.
He said that the utherus lining is very thin and he doesn't see any liquids, so everything should be fine. He asked me though to come back if in a few days I'm still in pain or with fever (that was yesterday).

One thing that is confusing me is that after the bleeding, my cervix is still high and soft, and actually started excreting milky-like secretions.

My question is - considering all this, would it be possible that in some distorted weird way, I am pregnant?
I tested on Friday (before all this happened) and on Monday (while bleeding) and the tests came negative, but it might have been a bit early, maybe.

Reading around, I figured that a miscarriage is not only stronger and more painful than a regular menstruation, but is usually also lasting longer - thing that didn't happen to me

I am trying to understand what's going on here, so I would appreciate any relevant perspective.

Thank you in advance,
MathildaZ

Thank you for the answer. I guess my question came from the fact that I started having some symptoms after this bleeding and not before, which is the confusing part.
In the last couple of days I've had some stretching feeling in my pelvic area,  and I feel bloated, along with the loss of appetite and extra secretions I was describing above.
If I was really pregnant,  I should be somewhere between the four and five weeks now,  so I wonder if anything can be seen at all in an ultrasound...
What is scaring me the most is that I have a long intensive vacation planned and already payed for,  starting for next weekend ,  and I'm really praying I'm wrong and nothing is going on.
I've been planning it for about 5months and it became a serious project.  I would hate feeling bad and risking my health,  or giving up on it due to some health complications.
Anyway,  I'll give it another day or two,  and probably will test again to set my mind straight. How much I would love to finally get pregnant, I think that considering all the last couple of weeks factors,  a negative result e would be ideal.

Hi there.  Sorry for this situation.  You know, it is very hard for an average person to really appropriately examine their own cervix.  I'd not d that anymore.  You've had two negative pregnancy tests and a trip to the doctor who said you may have been pregnant but thought you were miscarrying/miscarried.

I'm guessing you were either never pregnant or did miscarry.  If you miscarried, that explains unusual things and if you didn't, we can have off cycles.  I would wait and see what your next cycle brings.  good luck
