Freaking out/ no heartbeat

I had my first u/s today at what I calculated to be 6 weeks (fetal age 4 weeks).  There was a sac but no heartbeat.  They said it was too early to see a heartbeat but I'm not so sure, based on what I've read.  I'm going back next Monday.  I'm so sad.  I have felt NO pregnancy symptoms at all and this is my second pregnancy so I know I feel different.  

Has anyone else not seen a heartbeat at this stage?  Was your doctor worried?

I went today also Im due april 2. Had sex july 10th. Anyhow I found 2 black sac no Hbeat I was cryn. Im carrying 2. Although the sac in the bak is less than half the size. Im freakn out

we seen nothing no bb or heart beat in either sacks just one big sack and a smaller one behind that kept peepn out...cant sleep I want answers..:-( I def no how u feel. Good luck

I didn't even ask about anything being in the sac..I didn't think about it until now.  They probably would've told me if there was something in there but maybe it was empty:(  I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask to come in for another u/s.  I can't wait until Monday!  I'm sorry that both of you are going through this, too:(

It is sooo important that you ladies try to remain calm for the baby anyhow...you are still early and perhaps that is why there was not heart beat. Fingers crossed that the next US is better. I had a similar exp and there was not heart beat and then following week at 6wk 5 days there was a strong one. hang in there!

Hi ladies-

Many doctors often wait until after 7 or 8 weeks for your first ultrasound for this exact reason. 6 weeks if very early and the hb is not always detected at this time for many reasons.EX. Your dates may be a little off, you may not be as far along as you think, therefore, no hb...yet! =) Stay strong and try not to stress. My fingers are crossed***

Ty so much ladys. I just wanted to say, my hcg levels came in today and they are at 19,463. I am carrying 2 sacs:-( Hopefully BBs. Anyhow my husband and I had sex JULY 10th. So i know this has to be the day I got preg. Im assuming I would be due around April2. All the docs r saying somethng diff I called to get my results and told them about some of u not seeing fetus just sacs. N then eventually seeing the bb, the doc said thats unlikely. She really gave me hope;-( but I guess she tryed to b honest. So she said u should see something by the time ur levels 16,000. I thought i told her i had 2 sacs. She isnt my doc she just answerd the phone and gave me my results. ANY info would be gr8 ty in advance. GOODLUCK 2 all u stressing the worst here. xoxox angel

Hi there I just went to my US today at 6 weeks and my baby is measuring 5w6d and even though we can't really count the baby's heartbeat, I saw it fluttering from the screen and tech showed me the movement and told me it's still early and we'll see in 10 days. If you see the fetal pole and yolk sac then don't worry! Good luck to you! God Bless.

I'm so sorry, Angel.  I don't know anything about what levels you should be seeing, but I'm still hoping things will be OK for you.  I've certainly seen stories on this forum of people whose doctors were pessimistic and then the baby turned out OK.

I went in for another ultrasound today and just wanted to give you an update.  Still no heartbeat but the doctor said it is still too early.  (She said her office shouldn't have scheduled me until 7-8 weeks).  There was growth from 5 days ago - last Wednesday there was a sac but that's it; today there was a sac and an embryo inside.  Also, I measured 5 weeks 4 days on Wednesday and 6 weeks 1 day today, which she said is exactly where I should be based on my LMP.  There was fluttering which I hoped was a heartbeat but she said it was just blood going to the embryo.  Anyway, the wait continues...even though no heartbeat, she says there's nothing I should be concerned about.  Angel, let us know how your Wednesday appointment goes...

Im drinkn carnation choc milk the one with all the nutrients. Wow cant believe all the folic acid and stuff in this that would be so good for u to take for the growth and development of your hopefully our babys.  I found it in my goodies cabinet. It taste fantastic just like choco milk not like those gross nutreint drinks
