Backache

Hiya Everyone,
I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant with my first baby - i'm getting the most horrific pains in my lower back. Is this normal? has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated xx

backaches are very common. your first trimester is when you feel bad then your second trimester you start feeling good and usually the backaches go away for a while or until you get to your third trimester and the bigger you get the worse it hurts. congradulation on the baby they are great im pregnant with my third one now!!!

Lower backache can also be due to a urine infection, which can be common in pregnancy. When you first see your midwife she will take a urine sample to test for it (in the uk anyway).
