How is everyone doing?

This is just a post to get everyone's update on where you are, how you're feeling, symptoms, vents, rants, happiness,ect...please feel free to post whatever you are feeling right now.

I am 28 weeks, so just started my third trimester. My little man is moving like crazy, especially when I lay down to go to sleep. I am getting some pelvic and hip pain, which I got with my first son, but not until around 32 weeks. The heartburn/acid reflux is HORRIBLE and I am still nausea at times and throwing up once/twice a day. My fatigue has come back some and the BH contractions are getting stronger. Even with all this I am so happy to be pregnant and can't wait to meet my little man in less than 12 weeks! I sure hope the last 12 go as fast as the first. :)

My doctor said my glucose test was in the normal range.  I feel so relieved!

Just had an appointment this morning to check on Braeden's growth.  He's 1 lb, 12 oz already!  Dr. said he's in the 41st percentile.  His butt of course is sitting directly on top of my bladder, and his head is up by my ribcage on the right.  Basically, he's sitting up in there lol!  Dr tried to get some more 3d pics, but he was being a stinker and wouldn't move his hand from in front of his face. So we got a good 3d shot of his arm, but none of his face.

I have my glucose test 2 weeks from this friday. Not really looking forward to it. I chose the fruit punch option so we'll see how that one turns out.  I hate orange drinks so that wasn't an option.

Willow:  I just got one of the maternity pillows by Leachco. Its the snoogle total body pillow. Its taking a little bit of getting used to since it keeps me in the same spot, but I'm waking up less now.  I only have to get up and pee 2 times a night instead of 5 or 6! I think before I was just waking up sometimes because I was uncomfortable, now my body waits until I REALLY have to go before I wake up.
And I'm planning on nursing.  I have to sign up for a BF class soon. My boobs have already started leaking so that's been interesting to say the least lol.

I drank the lemon lime too. I thought it just tasted like flat sprite. It made me feel so sick for the first half hour and shaky. I havent heard back from my dr so im hoping thats good news! Is any one having trouble sleeping? I feel like i havent gotten a good nights sleep in weeks. I've tried everything..no naps, eating before, not eating, drinking more water, different positions..nothing. At most i get like three good hours a night. Im going nuts! Also i was wondering whose gonna nurse or formula feed?! Whoo only 12 wks to go!

I was looking forwasrd to the fruity drink because I haven't had soda in so long.  However, it was pretty nasty.  I had to drink mine and then have my blood drawn one hour later.  I got stuck in traffic and was 10 minutes late, so I had to wait 2 days and drink the gross stuff again.  It made me so sleepy and dizzy.  I hope I don't have diabetes.  I am still waiting for the results.

Mine is tomorrow...i got a choice between orange and fruit punch...i picked fruit punch because i know from experience with a lot of medical tests that orange is never the way to go!! haha heres to hoping fruit punch isnt too bad! im nervous about downing it in 5 minutes as well...the nurse told me to eat a breakfast with some protein to help not get so ill feeling before i have to drink it. i have to drink it at 8:15 in the morning...what a wake up call...yuck! ive already been getting sick from too sugary of drinks so im curious to the outcome of this testing...we'll see...crossing my fingers that its negative!

The glucose drink is nasty, but the lemon-lime is 100% better than the orange!!! You have to drink it in 5 minutes, which I think is why I felt like vomiting while I was doing it!! The good thing is that's it's over fairly quickly, once you can get the stuff down. :)

I am not looking forward to that glucose test.  Sounds awful!  I am only 25 weeks so hopefully it won't happen for a little while.  I go to the dr tomorrow.  So glad that the dr. finally gave you prevacid.

I went to the cardiologist yesterday. Good news is that he won't need to do the surgery to add a lead to my pacemaker until after Braeden is born.  He does want me to have a scheduled c-section though, so while my official due date isn't moved up yet, I'm assuming they'll do it closer to the 22nd or so to make sure I don't go into labor. I'm not horribly thrilled, but I'm just glad at this point to have a decision made.

Had an OB appointment today and everything is good! Heart rate is 156 and all is well. Little man still measuring a little big, but that's okay. FINALLY my OB agreed to give me prevacid for the acid reflux YAY!!!! I just started taking them today, so I hope it works for me because lately I have been waking up 2 or 3 times a night with reflux so bad I have been vomiting. My BP was slightly on the low side, 88/56, but not much lower than my normal. Had glucose test today and drank that NASTY lemon-lime drink. YUCK! I am 29 weeks and starting from now on I go in every two weeks instead of once a month. Oh, and I have gained a total of 10 pounds so far, so that's looking good too.

Hope all you ladies are doing well. :)

Hi,
I'm doing pretty good.  My baby girl is due April 12th.  Today she was kicking the heck out of me while I was trying to do dishes.  Has anyone noticed that the sink faucet seems to be getting farther and farther away?  My belly is so big doing dishes is kinda tough.  My husband said our little girl probably won't like doing dishes.

Too funny about your doggie!  Mine keeps licking my belly so I am sure he knows something is going on.  I am 25 weeks and pregnant with a little girl.  This will be our 1st baby so we are super excited.  My due date is April 28th.  I am feeling great.  She is moving around like crazy.  I just have some hip pain but no acid reflux so I can't complain.

yeah, acid reflux ***** more than the hip/pubic pain i'd say.

I had to buy my first pair of maternity pants and a "tummy support" . I'm glad i did though, it's like heaven. My little girl has the hiccups at least once a day. It feels so weird. She's getting so big that when she rolls I can feel it the whole way around my belly on all sides.

I think i may be getting a touch of morning sickness. I've thrown up 4 times this week at various times during the day. i haven't had it until now so i guess i shouldn't complain.

I was born with GERD and had serious complications from it as a child..resulting in a large surgery to replace part of my esophigas (sp) so acid reflux has always been a problem for me...but my OB had no problem writing me a prescription for pepcid (the prescription kind, not the over the counter kind) i wonder why your ob's wont give you that? the pharmacist even told me it was safe to take while preg...even the over the counter kind. anyway if you can get it...it works good. my acid reflux was so bad in the begining of my preg that i would cry from the burning. now i havent taken the pecid in  2 weeks (ran out) and i havent had any reflux at all? so mine thankfully just dissapeared on its own for whatever reason. i really wish there was something i could suggest to you guys other than the pill....ive been through the pain all my life and i understand how bad it can be. drinking milk seems to help and just avoiding spicy/greasy/gassy foods.

My OB said to take nothing but Tums or Rolaids. She won't give me anything stronger!!!  I have seen a lot of women on here taking Prilosec like you and others taking Zantac, but neither were on my approved list and OB won't budge! She says that unless the vomiting from it results in extreme weight loss, there's not much I can do....so I guess I just suffer until the baby drops, which is what I had to do for my first, too.

One thing I did find that helps a little, but if you have high blood pressure or restricted diet is is NOT advised, is to mix one tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water. I do it once in awhile, only take a few drinks and it does work, but because of the high salt content in the baking soda, it's not something to do all the time, just when it gets so bad and I truly can't take it anymore. :)

What are you doing for the acid reflux?  I've been taking Prilosec- some days are better than others.  It just seems like it's not helping much lately.  What worries me is... I had this happen before and it was so bad that I was throwing up a lot and not able to lay down to sleep and then one night it was so bad I threw up and my water broke!  I would assume from the pressure of throwing up.  I delivered that baby a month early.  I hope I can get some relief somehow because I hate for that to happen again.

bluegenie- that is funny! our pregnancies are a lot alike! it'll be funny to see if our boys act a like or have anything in common after there born!

my glucose test is on the 21 ..looks like we're all pretty much getting them back to back..good luck everyone! i hope none of us have GD!

as a side note- my feet freaking hurt!! its like they never stop hurting!! im lying in bed and my feet hurt! anyone else have aching feet?

my little dog was lying in my lap yesterday and the baby kicked her...she turned around and barked at my belly lol....i think she totally knows somethings in there because sometimes she very gently sniffs my tummy and she likes to lay with her paws on my belly or lay her head on it and just listen...its very cute. shes very sensitive to emotions and things though so i wouldnt be surprised if she does actually know theres a baby in there.

I'm 27 weeks and 2 days right now.  I've had trouble sleeping but it's mostly because of acid reflux.  Sometimes it's so bad at night I actually vomit over it.  I spend a lot of hours awake because of it so, I'm pretty tired.  Other than that, occational hip pain after I've slept.  My girl is moving around at all hours of the day and night.  It's so wonderful to feel her.  I took a glucose test last week and failed it so, I just did the 3 hour glucose tolerence test today and I'll know something on that in a couple of days.  We've signed up for child birth classes starting the begining of Feb.  Everything is going great and we're really excited!

Sunkissed:  Its so funny how we seem to be SO on schedule with each other!  Braeden had his first set of hiccups yesterday too!

Things so far are going really well with the pregnancy. No more bleeding, and little Braeden is moving all over the place!  Its my heart that's causing issues now. I went in with palpitations about a month ago, so they put me on a 24 hour monitor. Well, turns out that they need to change my pacemaker from a single lead to a dual lead, since the bottom chamber of my heart is not beating when its supposed to and I'm skipping a LOT of beats, hence the palpitations. I just got off a 3 week monitor (it looks like I got into a fight with an octopus...and lost!) and go back to my cardiologist in a week to see what the results are. They know they'll have to change the pacemaker, they're just trying to see now if its something that can wait until after Braeden gets here.  I don't know which to hope for.  I don't like the idea of having surgery while pregnant (although its not full anesthesia) but I also don't like the fact that my heart is not pumping properly and therefore Braeden might not be getting everything he needs.  Sigh...I've had this pacemaker in for 7 years...and it choosed NOW to act up?

Anyway, other than the heart stuff, I'm LOVING being pregnant. We're working on his room right now, and I can't help smiling everytime I pass his door :-)

my little Matthew had his first set of hiccups last night :) it was super adorable..i loved the feeling! im 24 weeks pregnant and a couple months back my doc wrote me a prescription for pepcid that i take once a day, everyday even if i dont feel symptoms and i have to tell u ladies..stuff works like a charm. im sitting here eating spicy thai food with no regrets! im also gettting pelvic pain but im so excited about being pregnant and i cant wait to kiss my little man! he will be my first baby :) now that im getting so close to the third trimester its kind of bittersweet because i want it to be over with so i can meet him and see his face but i know im gonna miss my belly and all those sweet little kicks inside me :) ....and to think i hated being pregnant during my first trimester...i said i never wanted kids again lol now i want 1000!

So far all is well with my little guy. The heartburn has started for me and it feels like my chest is on fire!!! Nothing seems to work in relieving it. I am now 26 weeks pregnant, and besides the heartburn, I feel wonderful. I am now starting to also notice that mornings are getting hard for me to adjust to. I can't wait to meet my little man!!! He will also be my second son!!! Good to hear that you are doing good!!!
