Is cramping normal?!

Hi!
I am 5w5days & I have been having cramping everday multiple times. It feels similar to period cramps but doesnt last more than a few minutes. I went to the Ob today & had blood work done (my level is 4000) and had an internal ultrasound in which he saw the sac but said it is too early to tell if its actually a baby or not & I still could be possibly having an ectopic though unlikely. So I am having more blood work thursday & another internal friday..i was just wondering if any one else is feeling similar pains?!

It is so great to hear that I am not the only one cramping :) Although it stinks. I am glad that there is a site for us to talk on!

I am cramping too.. just over 5 weeks now, but I also had these cramps with the last pg (m/c at 6 weeks).. I was told that they are perfectly normal and indicate a healthy stretching of the uterus.  Things certainly need to shift around in there to make some room!  :)
I kind of like them.. reassuring that everything is still progressing as it should.. and a little reminder now & then that I am pregnant!

I am about 8.5 weeks and I am cramping too. I think it is normal. I have also heard that it means the uterus is growing.....just what we want actually. I would be concerned with severe abdominal cramps on the right side along with blood as those are the signs of an ectopic preg. I will be soooo happy to be done my first tri,

I am cramping too. I had the ultrasound and all they saw was a sac too.  It is too early to see the baby.

I had almost constant cramping for the first 8-9 weeks of my first pregnancy (resulting in my dd).  I'm now 6 weeks 1 day in my second pregnancy and I'm having the same thing again.  Only this time I'm not worried at all..totally normal!  I also had spotting with my first pregnancy - once at 5 weeks (reddish brown blood for 4 days - enough blood for a period) and bright red blood (just a little) at 7 weeks.  Both were accompanied by cramps (since I was always cramping) so I thought I was miscarrying both times.  Everything was fine and I never had a scare after 7 weeks.  Good luck to you!

I went to the dr friday & had another internal in which my new OB saw a gestational sack & a yok sack. He said everything looked good & on the right track, he just thinks Im not as far along as my LMP would put me. He thinks I might have only been 4+ weeks. He also told me some cramps are normal & if I wasnt having any he would be more worried then me actually having them bc that would mean my body isnt preparing for the next 9 months properly. He told me as long as they arent only on one side or super intense I should be okay! Good Luck!

I'm cramping too....i am only 4 weeks and 2 days, but since yesterday when i found out I was preggers, i have been have cramps like menstrual period on and off throughout the day. With my history of mc I am scared...good thing is no bleeding. I have been doing a lot of research online and everything i can find says its normal to have some cramping this early on.

I hope everything went well today...please give update.

Thanks! Its nice to know Im not the only one experiencing these cramps and I havent had any more weird spotting since tuesday. I had more blood work done today & go back tomorrow morning for another interal with a different dr. The one I had tuesday was just filling in & was very vague. He didnt really answer my questions so I hope this Dr is more imformative or something bc I dont know much about pregnancy!

I am going through something similar! I have cramps that last only a minute or two, several times throughout the day. It's not as intense as menstrual cramps but its very annoying. Like, lmk said, I think its the uterus growing and stretching to get ready for the baby. They say as long as its not severe cramps or accompained by heavy bleeding its normal. I still plan to tell my OB about it because it didn't happen with my first pregnancy, just to be on the safe side. Just try not to stress about it, and keep your doc informed!***

a lot of women experience these cramps in early pregnancy i was having them a lot last week, appartently it is ur uterus stretching. as for the spotting im not sure, all i know is i bleed all the way through my first two pregnancy and there was never anything wrong. so far with this pregnancy i had a light bleed at about four weeks for about 5 or 6 days.
i hope everythin works out for u, im sure it will. congratulations by the way
