Nope, I'm afraid of jinxing it since I had 2 losses. And we live in a 1-bed apartment (with no extra storage) and although we plan on staying here til the birth, we will be making a major trans-Atlantic move in June and we can't buy too much :( I'll probably get to work on the essentials in January.
I have not bought anything, but my daughter is almost 2, we saved all her things and we dont know what we are having yet. If we have a boy we will be stocking up on clothes, but mostly those will end up being given to us, all my friends/family love to buy clothes! we are buying my daughter a bed, so that baby can use her crib and borrowing a craddle to use by the bed from my step-mom, never used one last time. I know I will be buying a bottle sterilizer this time, never bought one for the last and I got so sick of boiling and what not.
I haven't bought anything yet but my mom has already gotten a teddy bear and matching outfit. She said she needed to buy something and since we dont know the sex she got something neutral.
Not yet but I candt wait to get started. If I start buying now the kids will be like where my stuff at so I am working on christmas for them and then after that and they birthdays it will be my time to baby shop.
I bought pink stuff b4 I even new it was a girl, after I fiound out it was a girl I bought a beautiful purple swind and matching bouncer. Crib and changing table I have from my 2 yr ol ds now I just need to buy him a big boy bed b4 baby comes.
i allready have everything from having lexie one of the advantages of hving them close i guess... havnt bought 1 new outfit and wont need to unless im having a boy :D
So funny, because we bought for the first time onsies, and pacifiers. That's it lol.
I bought our crib and changing table some bottles and a boppy pillow...we are waiting to find out the sex of our baby before we but the bedding or clothes
I have a bassinet and a swing, I work in a kids boutique and consignment store and they were so cute and such a great deal. I also have quite the selection of gender neutral clothes I have been collecting for a while. Another reason not to find out gender for us; I'd blow all my wages on stuff in the store. Have you seen the latest Kushirs layette??? Super cute!!!!
Nah...and I probably won't buy more than some teddy bears and a few onesies. We already have all the furniture and clothing for either a boy OR a girl since we already have one of each and they're both still quite young...so we still have it all. heck, we have so much that there are clothes from both kids that THEY never even wore, lol.
But...Christmas shopping..I'm totally on board with that!!!!!
Lol. I'm a nut like that. I've also already started Christmas shopping...I can understand why you want to wait. I waited until I was in the 2nd tri before starting. Besides, (GOD FORBID ANYTHING WAS TO HAPPEN) the stuff we bought is returnable..... I like to get things out of the way so further down the line DH and I can just relax and wait. We did the same with our son 5 1/2 yrs ago.We actually just bought those things over the weekend. I am having a small baby shower but I didn't want anyone to feel the pressure of buying "the big stuff" so we decided we'll eliminate those and let everyone else buy "the little stuff"..Glad you enjoyed the post:) I'm sure you'll be buying things in no time:)
Lol. Wow! Sounds like y'all had some FUN!
I'm a little gun shy myself to start shopping having had 3 miscarriages. Even tho I'm further along than I've been and I'm hopeful i'll make it to term or real close to it, I'm still a little afraid to believe. For now, keep sharing your shopping experiences. I had fun just reading your post!!!!
Oh and my wonderful mom bought us the Chicco Stroller to match they Key Fit car seat my friend is giving me:) LOL...Yea I'm a lil excited..(Even though this is baby #2)
