Im 33 weeks and a day pregnant with my first baby its a boy :) and ive been getting really painful sharp stabbing pains in my private area i have to stop what im doing until it stops. What could this be? They say BH shouldnt be painful so im guessing this isnt BH.

I had the same thing happen to me last night.  I got up to let my dogs out and had to stop in my tracks because of sharp pain in my vaginal/private area,  It lasted about 30-60 seconds then went away.  I also wondered what this was, glad to know it is normal.

I am also 33 weeks pregnant. I read it in the mayo clinic book that any vaginal pain near the end of our pregnancy mostly occurs due to our cervix getting ready for the labour. The process of softening, thinning even dilating causes some sharp pains in the vagina region. It's completely normal as we are in our third trimester, After all, we won't be pregnant forever ;) we are getting closer n closer! Soon we will be holding our bundle of joys!!

Im 30 weeks and I get them too the dr said ir was normal as log as thy go away and arent constant.  He didnt give me a name for it just said its normal

Well my braxton hicks aren't sore in my private area its more of a tightening across my lower abdomnin!
