I heard the 3D images were not good for you or your baby. Though, I haven't done extensive research to validate that rumor.

The hospital i go to will not do a ultrasound to check the gender until 20 weeks, but they have 3d/4d ultrasound places you can go to (look it up online) and they will have packages/prices online. They offer DVDs/teddy bear with babies heartbeat and a cd of all the ultrasound pictures :) You can start going at 14 weeks of pregnancy and if for some reason they cant tell they will have you go back free of charge a second time to re-do it :) congrats!!

I heard they can tell between 16 and 20 weeks. My ultrasound tech said she would do u/s at 19wks since the longer you wait the more accurate it is. I would prefer 16wks ;)

You can find out by asking your doctor if they can do a 3d sonogra. And find  out faster if you're so curious about the gender. I just found out about it  ...

Most ultrasounds for gender are done around 20 weeks.  I was having an ultrasound done at 15 weeks with my first and they were able to tell then he was a boy.  With girls sometimes they have to wait until 20wks to be able to tell for sure.

Most gender ultrasounds are done between 18-24 weeks depending in your doctor.
