All my pregnancy different, I gained 40 with my first and bit took me 3 months to sort of fit in some my more larger pregnancy close but like many women say I lost the weight but my body shape was just different. 2nd child I gained 30 and it was pretty much the same, 3 rd child I gained 24 lbs but he was 10 lbs 2 oz and three days later I could wear some of my pre pregnancy clothes. 4 th I gained just under 30 and never completely got back, closes but not pregnancy and than got a surprise pregnancy when my 4 th turned one. I am 24 lbs up now at 36 wks and Dr says I shouldn't hit 30 but we'll see my like to really chuck up at the end. I am hoping to be back in two yrs my body holds onto a little of the weight while breastfeed. Even with exercise. However my shape has remand a different shape so some clothes just don't fit like they did before becoming a mom. Everyone is different I seen some moms 6 wks post and I swear they looked like they never had a kid but even then will say their shape is different.
Every body is diff. I have friends who gained 30-40lbs during pregnancy and was back to pre pregnancy body in a couple months. You just need to eat properly and exercise as much as you are allowed.
After my 1st I didn't really Try after my 2nd the dr wouldn't okay working put till after my post-partum check that's about a month after birth. When your breastfeeding too your appetite changes to accommodate to feed baby as well so your body may hold on to that weight you put. Buy it's true books don't get back to normal till after breastfeeding. Belly will be wobbly and loose and your hips do spread. After birth it's at least a minimum of 6 months before your body gets close to before preganacy. If this is your first child don't expect to be back to post baby body right away it takes your body some time to heal and get back to normal. This is my 3rd and after my 2nd even fat distribution changed. Labor and pregnancy does change the female body
With my first, it took me about a year to get my body all the way back to the way it was prepregnancy. It's not just the weight, it's the shape that takes a little longer. Your hips spread, your skin gets a little saggy, and your boobs are BIG. I breastfeed for 12 months and my shape never returns until I'm done with that. My body keeps a little puffiness while I'm nursing.
With my second baby, it took 18 months and a lot more exercise to get back to "normal!"
I'm hoping to have it all back together in 2 years this time!
But all that to say, you will lose a ton of weight in your first 2 weeks post-partum. It's such a great feeling! You'll be beach ready, but maybe not EXACTLY the way you were. And a month after is pretty soon, you'll probably just be relaxing and holding your newborn the whole time! Have fun!
