My Drs. always recommended a sitz bath 3 times a day for the first week postpartum. Fill your tub with some warm water,  but don't use any bubbles or gel, etc. Soaking for just a couple minutes at a time, 3 times a day, then gradually decreasing it as you feel more comfortable, that was always very helpful to me. I've also used ice packs, Dermoplast spray and the witch hazel pads. Those have a soothing effect as well.

I gave a birth on 21st april , normal delivery but had a third degree tear due to which been given spinal. My stiches hurt but the doc shld have prescribed a strong pain killer along with antibiotic. Sit in a warm bath and make sure you dry yr self.
They say if it start to sting or itch it mean healing has initiated.
