Is it healthy for a woman over 40 too get pregnant?

Due to age I was told it's not healthy for woman over 40 to get pregnant... What do you think?

My mom had 2 babies in her 40s and both of my sisters are healthy teenagers now

I mean it's fine for you to carry a baby. The only problem is that over time you're eggs aren't in tip top shape so if you do become pregnant and don't miscarry the baby will have a higher risk of genetic conditions such as downs, autism, etc.
