Had my NT test today!

Just got back from my Nuchal Translucency test! Won't have the "official" results for 10 days...but, based on what I could find online, the nuchal fold measures normal - so, hopefully, no chromosomal issues. The MD took the measurement three times, and it was 1.86, 1.93 and 1.86 mm. "Normal" for gestation is 2.0 mm. (For those who don't know, it's kind of a screening for Down Syndrome. Babies with DS normally have a thick nuchal fold.) I'm 11 weeks, 5 days according to LMP...but according to all the measurements he took today, the baby is measuring at 12 weeks, 6 days! The heart rate today was 157. It was so exciting to see the baby today! It looks more like a baby now...I could see the little feet and hands waving around. Anyway...I just wanted to share!

I don't know anything about N.T test's etc but that sounds promising from what you and from what other people have said.

I think it's amazing how one minute the u/s scan's just look like a funny shape and a few weeks later, you can see that it's now a baby. I last had an u/s at about 8 weeks and you couldn't really make anything out apart from shapes (I'm having twins) and unfortunately I'm not due a 12 week u/s scan as I've already been given my due date so I won't be able to see how they've changed in to babies.

Congrats!  My last pregnancy when I had the NT test done they were able to tell me right away that something was wrong so if everything looks good now it sounds pretty good!  I am so happy for you and thanks for letting us know.  Enjoy your pics of your little bean!
