Headaches/Migraines?!?

Happy Saturday, ladies!!  :)

Hope that this is finding you all well and in good health and spirits!! :)

I just had a quick question...I know that headaches can be a common issue in pregnancy, but does anyone know the correlation between pregnancy and migraines?!?  I have had a dull headache most days during this pregnancy, but last night I was hit with the first migraine of my life...it even hurt to put my head down on a pillow and it was the most intense, pounding pain of my life!!  I burst into tears and it was hard to see, where my vision was all blurry, etc.  Has anyone else had this happen?!?

Thanks and blessings on your day!! xxxxxxxxx

I got migraines before pregnancy but during pregnancy I seem to be getting them in clusters where in one week I will have like 3 in a day.  When I started getting them I researched it on the internet and they say that some people get migraines during pregnancy instead of morning sickness.  That they usually last just the first trimester and I don't know if you are taking any hormones but sometimes they stop after you stop the artificial hormones.  They do say that some people get their first migraines during pregnancy.  You could be getting headaches because of the caffeine.

i am used to like 6 cups of coffee a day and i was just curious about the caffeine issue because i am wondering if that was what caused such a horrible headache yesterday...i had gone without my one cup for 2 days and BAM!!  it was the craziest most insane headache that i have EVER had!!  i can deal with the dull headaches that i experience each day, but man oh man, if i could have changed out of my nightie and put clothes on i would have been at our local e.r.!!

I was going to post this question about headaches yesterday.  My last pregnancy I got them all the time, this one they just started at the begining of this week really bad.  I personally was ttc for so long so quit caffine before I got preg.  I think if you are gettting headaches really bad now, why not try and just quit caffine and see what happens.  I am a strong believer in changing up your diet if need be.  I mean, if your headaches are bad now, it can't hurt to stop the caffine and see.  Good luck!

has anyone gone cold turkey off caffeine with their pregnancies?!?  i was just reading something similar in another forum.  i have not gone completely off caffeine...i still have ONE cup of coffee in the a.m. due to the fact that i know it can cause headaches/caffeine withdrawl, etc.  so now i am REALLY baffled!! lol

I also have headaches everyday for the last 2 weeks which doesn't always go away with tylenol. It getting really annoying. They usually start later in the day and I get dizzy and I feel like I want to rip my eyes out. Boy I thought that after 12wks you were suppose to be feeling great, but these headaches are proving that wrong.

I have had a headache almost every day for the past two weeks, and I an not generally prone to headaches.  Sometimes they are so bad and they do not seem to respond to Tylenol.
I know it's common, but I don't know what else to try.
If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them, too!
