How many naps?

We are stuck in that weird phase when 1 nap isn't quite enough, but 2 is too many. How many naps are your little ones taking and how long? I remember my first wasn't ready for 1 nap until after 15 months. This one seems like she's working towards that now.

I know that this is late but Joel started taking just 1 nap at 10 months .. He would take a really good mornign nap and not a long enough afternoon nap so I transitioned him to one nap.  He only takes an hour nap though.

Cooper's been down to one since he was about 9 months old, maybe sooner (I can't exactly remember).  At daycare he'll sleep about 3 hours, but at home on the weekends, I get only 1.5- 2 hours.

Taylor takes one nap a day now and has since she has been about 11 months old but there are days that I swear she could take 3 and still be a cranky girl, lol My Dalton (25 months old) is lucky to take one a day, or should I ay I am lucky if he takes one a day, lol!

Well since I am back to teaching and Cruz has returned to daycare he has been taking one nap from 12:30-2:30. The weekends are a whole other story! ; )

He has been suffering from ear infections so his sleeping in general has been out of whack!

FUN FUN!

Alex is almost 14 mos too and has gone back and forth between 1 and 2 naps... however most days he is up betwn 5 and 6, down for nap around 9:30 until around noon, then usually i put him down again around 3-3:30 for an hour or so, then to bed around 8:30pm... if he doesn't get that 2nd nap he is a holy terror... ;)

ditto on that profile pic "tired..."

Cash is 14 months and has been down to one nap for a couple of months - maybe a tad longer.  And you are right - in the beginning one nap didn't give him quiet all he needed, but he wasn't tired enough for a full second nap.  What I did was slowly move the monring nap closer to lunch and then he slowly started sleeping longer.  Once we had fully transitioned to one nap he was less ill in the evenings and had lengthened his one nap to at least 2 hours.  He basically did it on his own.
BTW - love the profile pic!!
