So get this... I am amazed!!

It NEVER would have occurred to me to do this with my first. And I definitely would have told any parent that they are crazy for trying this... But... My 10 month old uses the potty!! 2 to 3 times a day for the past 4 days! I am NOT crazy enough to expect potty training- just establishing good habits. But it's too freakin cute. First thing in the morning and after naps I sit her on the toilet, she smiles, says "yay" and pees! (note- she also attempts to eat the toilet paper- she is still a baby after all!). She's so excited toe on there because she sees her sister on there all the time. It also seems to have taken the mystery of the toilet away. Before I kept finding her trying to get in there to play. Now she isn't as much.

I forgot to ask if she's walking yet? That could make a difference. I was reading up on it yesterday and from what i read its basically ok to start if they've mastered other skills that would otherwise interfere(ie crawling, walking, etc etc) It says if they haven't mastered those things, they may be too confused to add another big skill that requires "voluntary control" ... however, it sounds to me that she knows whats up with the potty so I'd still encourage it ... good luck! :)

That's awesome! I have 3 kids and I am still amazed at how quickly they're able to learn. It also seems that each one does things a little quicker than the last, so it would not surprise me at all if she's simply just picked up on it by watching the older child... They say that the best time to potty train is when the child shows interest(or gives clues that they understand). Perhaps your daughter is just extremely early in this dept... I'd certainly give it a shot if I were you! You may just be surprised! Good Luck! :)
