Appetite and weight control

Hi Everyone,
I don't know about you guys, but my hunger has been out of control and I am never full.  I am 25 weeks my belly has doubled in size it feels in the last couple of days. My baby boy has started moving to the point where I can feel him hurting my insides LOL (I think he had a growth spurt) I am walking a lot, but I am so scared I am going to be gaining too much weight by the end.  Last time I went to the doc I had gained 7 pounds in one month.  I have not been weighing myself so I have no clue what I have gained until I go back on the 28th.  Any suggestions on gaining what you are suppose to and not too much? How is everyone else doing? Last time I was on track to gain about 30 pounds by the end.

Hey ladies I've been eating more filling stuff that packs good protein and fiber. Try eat shredded wheat or raisin bran or something. As for me I eat kashi cereals they are pretty good and filling. I eat a ton of bananas, and other fruit whether its fresh frozen or canned. I also eat some trail mix or fiber bars by fiberone or kashi. lowfat dairy cheese with crackers or fruit. Yogurt- not lowfat. Now I bought mini bagels to eat with cream cheese. Soooo I don't always eat that good though cause I love me some sonic burgers and a slush. I have a major sweet tooth. Anyhoo.  Drink lots of water to help u feel full even with eating ur snacks.  Hth

I am hopeless. I am always hungry and eating and I am putting on weight like crazy though I do try to keep to fruits rather than snacks like butter cookies or chips.  I have gained 31lbs and I am only 22 weeks. I think I will hit 70lbs by my 38th week!

I know, my doc keeps telling me to work out every time I go to my prenatals. It is so embarrassing. She says my weight gain is normal, but wants me to work out. She is a sweetheart. If I tell her I look like a cow she will laugh and tell me I look beautiful.  But always makes sure to let me know I HAVE to work out. I’m about to tell her I AM working out lol…

I have done NO exercising at all. The nurse keeps telling me I need to be walking and working out every appointment. We have a fitness center at our apartment and I really should start doing something to help with this weight gain. Maybe if I worked out I wouldn't be going to a size large already in maternity pants.

Oh yes. I don’t know what I’ll do about that one either. I work nights every other week. Work days every other week, just eight hours, but my co-workers eat nonstop at night, all night long and offer me food all the time. I don’t want to gain too much weight either. That’d be terrible since I’m only 5’2!! Which one of you ladies works out? I know I don’t!  I used to, before I got pregnant, but all of that stopped as soon as I started feeling like c r a p in my first trimester.

I try not to think too much about my weight gain. But have to admit it bothers me to be gaining so much weight and not even working out. I’ve gained between 11-13 lbs so far and I’m 21 weeks. It may not seem like a lot, but if you remember my height…..lol

I was doing really well. 14 lbs in 20 weeks. I should say good for me. I tend to gain 50-60 lbs. every time. But, since I'm getting sick everyday again, who knows what I'll be at my next appt. I don't weigh myself between appts. because my digital scale is not as accurate. I've been anything but hungry lately.

Some days I do great with eating all healthy and the right stuff, then other days all I will want is cereal and milk, peanut butter and jelly, fruit yogurt and granola, icecream and lots of it...lol and the thought of veggies will turn me off.  I have gained 16 pounds so far and fast like you Brittny most of it has been recent.  Also, you should try the little fruit cups with no added sugar or maybe frozen strawberries defrosted in a container in the fridge to snack on?
I have heard just as long as your baby is healthy you really don't need to gain too much, so I think you will be just fine feather2e.
I have been really good about exercising so hopefully that should slow it down some.  I do 25-40 minutes of walking 4 times per week and walk 1.25-2.00 miles.  Maybe I should try daily.

I have been hungry but I am running after my 17month son all day so I am not gaining enough weight. I have only put 7lb on the entire pregnancy and I am almost 23 weeks.

I have been eating nonstop! I'm always hungry. I've been trying to snack on fruits and veggies. I think it's helped. I went from gaining nothing in the first trimester. At my 12wk appt I was still 156 at my 19wk appt I was 166. So I had gained 10lbs in  just 7 weeks. I am trying not to eat the junk food anymore. I bought girl scout cookies and ate the whole box myself in on sitting while watching a movie. I couldn't believe I did that. It's hard because I can't find any good fresh fruits at the store right now. I bought two peaches at $2.49 Lb and bit into one and threw it away it was so gross! I hate spending so much on them and then not being able to eat them! but the canned fruit has so much sugar added to them.
