Lotions?

So I know there isn't anything that is going to prevent stretch marks if I'm gonna get them I'm gonna get them. I have had really dry skin and itchy. I normally use Bath and Body Works body cream and it's so expensive to be going through a tube every 7-8 days.

I bought Palmers Tummy Butter (cocoa butter) and I broke out and had a rash all over my body and made the itching worse. I stopped using it and with in a day the itching was gone and about 5 days the rash was gone.

I would like to know what you ladies have tried and thought worked the best. I like thick creams I don't like greasy lotions. It seems that all the less expensive bigger bottles of lotions are greasy to me.

I've also had to use my face moisturizer twice a day instead of just once. My skin is sooooo dry! It's usually dryer in the winter but this is ridiculously dry!

Any help you ladies can offer would be greatly appreciated.

For your face, Nivea Q-10 is amazing!! I love it. I think the lotion I use on my belly is also nivea, the cocoa butter one. I had the palmers stuff, I guess it was an oil.. it was basically like a greasy wax thing, I hated the feeling of it and the smell so I dont use it any more.

I use Curel on my body and Palmer's massaging cream for stretch marks on my tummy, butt and around my boobies. I swear by Curel.

I use Aveeno for itchy skin and it works. Palmers irritates my skin as well. Such a shame. I really like the smell :-(

I use palmer's just the plain cocoa butter for dry skin.  Or I use St. Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter.  Both are thick and non greasy and I haven't had any issues.

I was put on Zyrtec to clear up my sinuses. I've been really sick the last two weeks.

I loved the Palmers cocoa butter OIL but it gave me a rash.

I agree Jergens is way to greasy.

Thanks for the advice.

I for got to mention I am on Zyrtec as well but I only take it if my itch/dry skin acts up and I am scratching all over and welts are coming up. That really helps to control the itch but I do use J&J to overcome the horribly dry skin.

Hi I am havign the same proble - extremely dry skin. When it was horribly itchy I use the Palmers Coca Butter OIL (not cream)  for dry irritated skin and it helped. But I hated the smell. Now I just apply Johnons and Johnsons Moisturising body lotion as its non greasy (I hate the geasy creamy feeling after piling on certain body lotions) and it goes into your skin very quickly. I tried The Body Shop's Shea Butter but found it too greasy too. Jergens was too greasy to me too. In the end I am just sticking to Johnsons and Johnsons Moisturising Body Lotion!
