Possible problem........

I just found out that I will not have a babysitter for my 3 older kids if Liam is born on Aug. 22,23 or 24. My due date is the 20th but my midwives are against induction before 42 weeks. My in-laws are supposed to take the kids when I go to the hospital but last night my MIL informed me that they will be in Boston for those 3 days helping my hubby's neice move in to her dorm. WHAT?!?!  I am at a complete loss because I'm not able to understand her reasoning. Shawn's neice is a sophmore in college with a driver's license. Exactly why does she need her grandparents to do this for her? And how is she needier than a pregnant woman with 3 kids who is about to go into labor? We don't have any other relatives in the area and no one who can come stay with us. I'm going to plead my case to my midwife at my Aug. 18 appt. but I'm ready to burn the in-law bridge at this point.

Everything is set. Shawn's aunt and uncle are coming up on the 21st and staying until the 24th so we are covered. I still can't believe my MIL would act this way. She didn't even act like she was sorry she wouldn't be here for us or that she felt bad that her sister had to come to our rescue. Unbelievable! So, I really hope the baby comes while she is away. Then her sister can dote on the baby and call the family to tell them. Thanks for your concern ladies. I feel 100% better. I've stopped stressing about getting this baby out.

Oh Jesus...I'm glad you got that figured out. I was going to suggest that you have a serious talk with your midwives so they induce you before since you had such an uncomfortable situation with your other kids not having anyone looking out for them.

Is everything still good now?

OH no, I am so sorry you have to go through this....You are already stressed enough worrying about the 3 babys and then when you will go into labor...You dont need this on top of it!!! I hope they realize that you are need more help at this time then she does?!?! And, as far as the aunt/uncle thing, that was very sweet of them!! Are you going to take them up on their offer?

Thanks ladies! I was so mad that I posted on facebook that I had no sitter for those 3 days and Shawn's aunt and uncle volunteered to come up here (a 4 hour drive) and stay at my in-laws house until they get back in case we need them. Isn't that nice of them?

Your in laws are so wrong to do this to you at this time. I hope your midwives will be sympathetic to your situation.
