Swelling in feet and hands

I noticed that for the last few days, my hands and feet would be swelling up by the time I get home from work in the evenings. It would disappear in the morning and then restart the next evening. Thats what I read will start in the late 2nd/3rd trimester. I don like it - I feel extra heavy and my skin feels really "spongy" at the edema areas. When I climb the stairs to my bedroom I am out of breath with the extra fluids in my legs! Ugh! How about you guys? Have you started swellnig yet?

Is the top # in the 90's/110's or the bottom #? That's really high if it's the bottom #.

So far my blood pressure has been in the 90's/110's, but yes I would definitely have that checked out. Tomorrow I am going to see my Ob and get my 28th week growth scan done. I am praying hard tomorrow would be uneventful! Thank you for your replies, ladies!

I agree with Karen, but it my case my blood pressure is on the low side and I still swell mostly every day and I am only 30 weeks.  But, if the blood pressure is high, you are putting on weight really rapidly it could be something the doctors need to get under control. Also, if you press on a swollen area and it leave an indent... it's a sign of pregnancy induced hypertension as well.

I've never had much of a problem with swelling until the very end (34+ wks) It can be a sign of high blood pressure so ask your Dr. about it.

I am experiencing the same as you.  I feel like at the end of the day my legs are so heavy I want to ask my husband to push my butt up the stairs...lol.  I heard it's your body trying to hold on to extra fluid just because we need it for the pregnancy.  I try to avoid salty food and put my feel up for a while before bed.  That usually helps.  I would for sure have your doc talk to you about it I know it could be signs of something more serious.  I don't know about you but I am for sure feeling myself slow down and I actually feel like I am in my last trimester.  uhg not too much longer!!!
