progesterone
Last day of progesterone, YAY. I am so tired of the shoots.
I was on 400mg as well (200mg in the am and 200mg in the pm). I thought about doing the same thing but my doc insured me it would be fine since I gave the placenta an extra 2 weeks to kick in. I think that you will be fine but your idea should be ok if it makes you feel better about stopping.
no he told me to stop around 10 weeks, but i read that that can be a bit early. thank you for letting me know. how many mg did you take? im taking 400mg a day orally. maybe i will drop it down to 200 for 12-14 and then stop.
I was on oral prog and my docs said I could stop at 12 weeks because they didn't want to allow the placenta to be relieant and then have issues if I stoppped later. They told me the placenta takes over at 10 weeks but wanted to make sure it kicked in enough so they stopped at 12 weeks.
jschoch8 - did your docs say you could take them that long? I have refills that are good until I am completely done with my pregnancy but they said not to take them as if
I stopped later it could induce contractions. I would talk to your doc about that just to make sure. I told my doc I was worried about stopping them at 12 weeks because I heard they could induce contractions if I suddenly stop but she said only if you have had preterm labor before or needed prog in previous pregnancies or had thin lining then you would stay on longer. I am now 14 weeks and have had no problems stopping at 12 weeks. I don't know your history so I could be completely wrong about your situation but I just thought I would share what I know.

you should be good my doctor said after 10 weeks the placenta takes over. I have refills till 20 weeks so i will use them until then though- im just a worrier, but arent we all.
I was to, i thought that I really must need it if I've been taking it. I'm 10wks 3days. i have an u/s ttomorrow and I'm a little worried. This is the first u/s off of the progesterone.

how many weeks are you? im taking oral progesterone and am a little nervous to go off of it
I did lupron and progesterone for IVF. I'm 10wks pregnant with twins so I'm finish with everything
Woohoo foryou - were you on proluton shots too? I have 2 more to go myself and thats that. It really hurts but I guess worth it when you hold the little one in your arms!
