Anyone had a miscarriage and gotton preggo right after?

I am just looking for anyone who has been through or knows anyone who has had a miscarriage, requiring a d and c or not, and gotton preggo right away after??? What  your/their experiances have been? I am 6 and a half weeks preggo after I lost my baby at 12 weeks just this last October. Doctors say the odds are in my favor, and ive been posting and posting to get ANY kind of feedback, I'm just so nervous and would appreciate any. Mostly ANY kind of experiance. Thanks and Happy New Year to you all :)

Hi, I had a m/c on 11/23 and found out I was preg again on 12/24! I must of gotten preg maybe 1 or 2 weeks after miscarriage. I dont know how far I am yet though since I never had a period after the m/c. I go to the Dr. tomorrow for 1st prenatal visit. My levels seem to be doing well this time and I have had no problems like I did before. I was precsribed prometrium(progesterone) as a precaution since Ive had 3 miscarriages within the last 9 months. I think this may be the answer as to why I was miscarrying. Let me know if you have anymore ?'s Oh and I didnt have to have a D&C. I was barely 4 or 5 weeks when I m/c on 11/23

I had a similar situation.  I had an early, natural, miscarriage in Sep/Oct (it took weeks for my hCG to drop to zero), then conceived without having a period in between.  My doctor did an ultrasound to estimate my due date (August 7, 2009) and determine how far along I was.  At the time, I was 8w 4d and able to hear the heartbeat already!  Doc said this greatly reduces the chance of having another m/c.
BTW, I have 3 children and this was my second m/c.  1 healthy girl, 1 m/c, 2 healthy boys (not twins), another m/c, and now hopefully another healthy baby.
Keep your hopes up, with every day your odds improve!

i had a m/c at 5w in nov 2006, no d &c - then got pregnancy in dec 2006 and have a healthy 15 month old daughter now! good luck...i believe that everything happens for a reason.  i look at my daughter all the time now and say if i hadn't had my m/c i wouldn't have her...i'd have some completely different child & i feel blessed to have her in my life and be her mom!

I had a m/c at 11 weeks in September that required a D&C. I had two periods and then conceived again. I am now 8 weeks along. We just had our first ultrasound today and so far so good.

The odds are definitely in your favour, though, I know from personal experience that it doesn't help with the constant worry. All the best to you!

I did have one cycle after my d and c. It was a very normal period, and thats why the doctor said we were okay to go ahead and try again. We handled the loss and the d and c well. Were were sad but also have a very strong faith that things happen for a reason, so when we were given the okay to try again, we didnt put any pressure on it. We jsut figured well get pregnant again when my body is ready. Thank you for the post though. Its so incredibly comforting knowing that other people have gone on and hearing it, not just thinking it. Happy New year to you and your family!

I have a friend who had a miscarriage, and the next month got pregnant and now has a very healthy 3 year old. I do not think that she had a D&C though.

I had a miscarriage myself, and did have to get a D&C, the doctor wanted me to wait one menstrual cycle before getting pregnant. But we waited a year, because I was too shaken up to try again. Did you have a period after the D&C?? I know after my miscarriage the doctor told me it would be very unlikely that I would have two m/c in a row. I am sorry I know that doesn't help.

I wish you all the best!!! Stay positive!!!
