Our babies at 6 months

Just wanting to check in on all our little ones! How are they doing? Any new milstones?? Check ups??
I will start with Taylor. I had her 6 month check up done a little early becuase she had been so sick and barley eating her normal 15 ozs a day. So lets see..........she is 15 lbs 11 ozs (around the 50%) and she is tall measuring at almost 27 inches (86%)  and her big head just keeps getting bigger too! It has always measured large even at birth (ouch) but now it is off the charts, lol! I wish I knew why all my kids have such large heads! The doctor also told me she more than likely has hypermobility syndrome, causing her to meet some milestones a little later than others. She is very flexable:~) So far she is still on target, I guess its just a wait and see game:~( She is rolling over and pushing up. She can sit ok with support but wont put any weight on her legs, the doctor said this was still normal and that she should start soon. Im still not sure about that as all my other kids (even my late walkers) did this by 6 months.
Anyone eles have a LO that dont eat much but still grows well??? Im am very confused by this part She has been growing great, steady at the 50%  but she hardly eats anything! She ate more at birth than she does now! I can only imagine the moose I would have if she acaully ate, lol!
Ok so how is everyones eles??????

We just went for Eli's check up today. He weighs 16 lbs and 3 oz (18th percentile). He is 27.5 inches long (75th percentile). He's long and lean. He can sit for a few seconds on his own but only if you keep his attention. As soon as he starts looking around he'll lay down. He loves to bounce on your lap or in the jumper. He is rolling both ways but only does it if he has to. He'd prefer to scream and wait for you to pick him up. He went through a phase where he was babbling (mamama, dadada, bababa, etc) but now he's back to just squealing. He's really loud! Eli is just beginning to realize it when I leave the room and fussing until I come back. He doesn't suffer with 'stranger anxiety' though. He LOVES new people and make friends instantly with his amazing smile. He has been giggling more. His daddy and I love tickling his feet until he squeals and squirms. He sleeps well if we get him to bed on time. If we are out or not paying attention, he will get over tired and super fussy. It is really hard to get him to sleep when you've missed his bed time. He still wakes at least once per night on most nights. I am totally understanding with this because he is still growing faster than most. He has nearly caught up with his peers. He was born in the 3rd percentile for weight and has jumped 15 % in only 6 months. I'm super proud of him. He has been eating solids for the last week. We are using the baby-led weaning method of introducing solids. We have skipped the baby cereal and purees and went straight to finger foods. Its great! He is already feeding himself. His favorites so far are bananas and peaches but he also likes carrots. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!!

My little guy also eats 5 jars of baby food along with 3 bottles a day and cereal.  He is a big eater and will also cry when the jar is finished.

I think I've got the big one here, LoL.  Cooper weighed in at 20 pounds 8 oz at his six month checkup!  That put him at 95% percetile for weight, but his LENGTH was waaaayyy off the charts!  I guess he's gonna be my football player!  He weighs more at 6 months than my oldest son did at one year! = )

He is rolling well now, both ways, and just started a few days ago with DaDaDaDa and Babababa... I'm waiting now for Mamamama!

Oh my gosh, and EAT... Wow!!  We've been off on snow days all week, and I cannot even believe how much this kid eats!  No joke, we will go through 5-6 jars of baby food a day, plus cereal and yogurt and, of course, bottles.  The kid is a bottomless pit!  And when he finishes a jar, he cries for more, so it's not like i'm forcing it on him.  Can you really gain that much weight off of carrots, peas, apples and pears?!?

Wow! I have a peanut! Even though she is average size! Some of your babies are bigger than my 17 month old, lol! He lost 3 lbs being sick and is only around 19 lbs now. I LOVE chunky babies! My 2nd DS was a chubber. My only and now all my kids are under weight, except Taylor but suspect when she gets older she will be a string bean too! I have tried everything to get my kids to gain but nothing has worked:~( I think I need to send for some of your liquid gold, lol! Does anyone ship?? hehe:~)

DD will be 6 months next weekend (the 20th), so we haven't had our appointment yet. She is over 18 pounds though (she was 18 at 5 months, so i'm guessing 19-20 lbs by 6 months). She has been sitting independently since 3 1/2 months, so we have kinda neglected tummy time. This is mostly because of her reflux (she's been upright since birth), but it's hard to remember to put her on her tummy when she sits and plays all day. I suspect she'll be walking before crawling or even rolling around. She likes to stand holding our hands, but will topple if we let go. I LOVE watching her play with her sister. They have tea parties :)  She has tons of energy. In fact, she just jumped non-stop for an hour in the doorway jumper. I was amazed.
i've managed to exclusively pump for her, so I wanted to wait til 6 months for solids. However, i started a little last week because I needed an easier way to get her meds into her. She really enjoys peas and has even been feeding herself with a baby feeder thingy (modified spoon). She's only getting a tsp to tbs or so of solids a day, but it's enough to get her meds into her! She doesn't seem to want more, so I'm not pushing it.
Sleeping is slowly improving. She's put herself on a schedule, so i know what to expect. She falls asleep at 8:30. DH gives her a bottle with her other meds at midnight. She wakes around 4, and i drowsily shove 2 oz in her mouth to help her sleep later. this whole process takes 2 minutes, I have the bottle and the kid both right next to me, so i am quickly back to sleep. She wakes around 7. If her reflux is acting up, she'll stir/cry every half hour or more, so i am exhausted some days. During the day, she generally takes 1 big nap and 2 shorter ones.

I forgot to add that he's not eating many solids yet either... and as you can see, he's growing just fine... he's just not that interested yet... he does have some cereal around dinner time each night and I just recently started to add carrots to them... we'll try something new every now and then... but im not worried... he's fine :)

Well my little man was 18lbs 4oz and 26 inches long at 6 months. He is a little chubby and eats a ton!!! LOL He takes a little more than 7oz in his bottle and eats his 3 meals a day mostly friut with cereal. He can sit unsuported of just over a min. He rolls around alot and laughs at everything. He does not like to sleep LOL but that is ok cuz I love to snuggle with him while the rest of the house is sleeping. Hope everyone is doing well, I can't believe our babies are 6 months, where did the time go????

I took Joel in for his six month appointment about 2 weeks ago.  He was 17 lbs 9 oz and 27 inches long.  He is doing great.  He will sit up on his own and can now go from sitting to on his belly but he can't go back to sitting from being on his belly.  He rolls constantly.  He likes to get up on his knees and rock but hasn't started to crawl yet.  He eats a ton.  He eats 3 bottles.  He eats 1/4 cup of cereal for breakfast, a fruit and veggie for lunch and a fruit, veggie and meat for dinner.  He loves to play with his toys and loves to smile at everyone.
